All the parents of DWARKA who are interested in getting their ward admitted in DWARKA Schools can join this group and interact among each other and can also interact with previous year parents who admitted their wards in Dwarka Schools.
Hi I got conformation cal from RDR they told us to pay the fee by 24 Jan please suggest what to do and what is the refund policy if anyone is aware..please help
you can withdraw admission in month and get full refund after deducting registration amount of 200 Rs. But need to take care that it should be within 1 month. Also it will take 2-3 months to get refund back depending on different schools.
hi all, My daughter got selected with RD Rajpal. Got a call from them to submit the fee by 24th. Anyone has an idea of the fee structure and the refund policy??
I too got a call from RD Rajpal couple of hours back for my daughter's admission and they have given time till 24th Jan to complete formalities and fee submission. They are asking for approx 25k admission fee and approx 17k per quarter, which is quite ok as per school ranking. I hope this is a good school, however BBS list will come by 7th feb.
Is VIS sec-10 also calling parents for doc verification or discussion. I m suprised , r they asking for some kind of extra money for admission?? There draw has not been done. I want to know will they be doing draw at all or filling seats by calling parents?
Here is what my observation is so far for 2015-2016, nursery admission. Remember this is my personal opinion and only to help parents. Please correct if I am wrong anywhere.
For Dwarka residents:
First choice of 80% parents is DPS Dwarka and we know looking after the points system that there will only be Luck which will decide the faith, don't know if people are looking for any sort of Jack. List will come on Jan 13th.
After DPS around 90% parents are looking for Venkateshwara Sec 10 school, there list will now come after DPS list i.e. on 16th Jan.
Now, after this the school which is in Demand for more Dwarka residents is Bal Bharati school, list will come on 7th Feb.
Rest of the schools are SVIS, BGS & few are considering St. Thomas if you are fine with location. Mt. Carmel is now over.
Here is my suggestions for parents :
1) If you are resident of Dwarka, having first child and living in 3kms area of Bal Bharati wait till 7th feb don't take admission in any other school except DPS & Venkateshwara, 99% chance is there that your child name will be in list if you fit in both above points(Distance + First Child).
2) Now, parents who are resident of Dwarka and have first child, if you don't get admission in above 3 schools(DPS/Venkateshwara/BBS), wait for BGS/SVIS/St. Thomas), if still your child name will not come in list and you are ready to pay 34000 Rs quarterly fees go with Presidium. Remember St. Thomas is totally up to you if you are interested.
3) If you are not resident of Dwarka, have home in Janak Puri/Vikas Puri, first child is Girl you still may get admission in any of the above schools(DPS/Venkateshwara/Mt Carmel). If not you have to take management seats in these schools I think its worth, do negotiations as much you can. Sorry to say but you have to pay something around 70 k to 2.5 Lakhs for admission. Rest options are take admission with out any donation in Cat B schools, all schools are same. If you are Ok with Queens valley and don't want co-ed for your girl child go for it. Indraprastha/SRS/Sachdeva/Indian Heights/RD Rajpal/ITL/MAXFORT/NKB/Modern Convent all are same go with them don't wait, because if you wait these schools will demand huge donations somewhere around 50 K to 1.5 Lakhs also.
4) If you are not resident of Dwarka first born is Boy, sorry to say but you are in real trouble until and unless either very very Lucky or have full on jack. Anyways take admission in any of school that you like go personally and check school infrastructure and if you are satisfy take admission don't ask any other parent what there preference is or which school is good or Bad. If you are ready to take management seats, this is the right time when each and every school have 20-30 seats in Kitty than to wait when schools have less number of seats, again Demad/Supply rule will come into picture. when Dwarka residents will also try for these schools.
Thanks all for your participation here n helping each other. My daughter had a hard luck at MCS and indraprastha too so I'm waiting only for ITl else I will pay in sacred a to secure seat. Will wait for BGS and NKBs.
The plan looks good on paper, but if we miss out on all the good schools which are what 4 or 5, we may miss out on the B category schools as well, because timelines are different.
Indraprastha ppl called us for management seat n asked 1L. We thought of waiting for d lottery. These ppl removed our name from d list of eligible cadidates for draw even though we submitted all documents n live just 1 km from school. Because dey know we can pay dey won't let us get a seat from normal procedure.
Hi Saryu, this is for you. All the three children of my next door neighbour were in delhi international. She was not happy and cribbing all the time...no system...no quality....staff keeps changing etc etc Finally she admitted all of them in another school last year. About the other school you ve asked for, J M INTERNATIONAL, I have heard a lot of good word, I have applied too. I am also trying in DAV
Can someone pl guid me what should i do my daughtrs name is in waiting list of sachdeva they asked me to come and secure d seat on 15th jan if ny seat wud be left from first list as waiting will b offered on d basis of first cum first serve and on 14th st thomas result abt to declare if my daughter name comes in st thomas first list thn i shud go for sachdeva n grab d seat or st thomas shud b given prioritu? Also if in st thomas dosnt declare my daught name in 2nd list too having 70 Points thn shud i wait for bgs int and nk bgodia? As in bbps hving 69 Points chances r very less. M confused if i will wait for bbps till 7th feb thn sachdeva , St thomas, Nkb and bgs int will go from my hhand as i hv gud scoring in these 5 Schools sachdeva, St thomas, Nkb, Bgs int.
@ Rakesh singh thakuri, yes, all the people are never able to make it. But I think you can take an appointment and and go to JMIS for documentation on Monday if u cudn't go today. I m saying that becoz when I went today I spoke with a few other parents who could n't go on friday and then came on saturday. Its a good sensible school with no unwanted air or attitude and they will meet you if u request
@everyone, please do not panic as yet. As someone who has seen last year nursery admissions as well, I can tell that the overall capacity in Nursery exceeds the demand and no school would likely operate at low utilization of their infrastructure. The schools will start calling the parents once the initial euphoria regarding admissions start to settle down with many of us formalizing admissions. A simple look at the General quota seats for top 20 Dwarka schools give an average of 50-60 seats per school, which means there are more than 1200 seats in these schools. Add to this, the seats which will open up due to non-availability of other reserved category (Management/ EWS/Sibling), we all will surely get calls/ admission offers from the schools as the admission process advances. Stay positive and be patient and most importantly please do not compare with others and get influenced as only you know your child best. Good luck!!
I have heard lots of good things about Queen's valley dwarka and it seems to be one of the most sought after school. Can anybody please help me by giving some information about the X or XIIth class results of previous years, as I am not able to find the relevant information.
@Akash Vahi & Lokesh Mehta, you both are right, Lokesh clearly stated that its his own personal view and even said to correct him if he is wrong however what Akash is saying that is also true that this is the time where in perception about the school changes in a flick of a sec whenever someone says something negative or positive and this can make an impact on decision making or approach of some parents.
Again stating that its my personal view just to share my knowledge. If you don't agree with it, don't take it seriously and do whatever your mind think is right. Also, I think now its not good to give views openly, so will not write anything more after this.
@Nitin - DPS received 4200 applications last year.. That means around 5000-6000 applicants as everyone did not apply at DPS for many reasons.... If we consider Top 20 schools in west Delhi with around 1200 seats for general category, then there is clear gap.
However in total if you say, there would be around 5000 to 6000 nursery seats if we consider all big and small schools in west Delhi.
In a nutshell, everyone gets an admission in the end even if not in a school of their choice.
Myself and one of my friend both got a call from VIS -10 for document verification.I could not make it due to some meeting but my friend went there. Yesterday i had a quick word with her on whatsapp regarding her visit at VIS-10. I am disturbedto hear that they are asking for ~2.5 lacs to prebook....
This is what my friend told me...has anybody experienced the same?? I tried today to visit but it was closed.
Hey friends. ....this is a general forum and we all have freedom to express our views. ... my request to all is....please don't take any view personally.....As parents we all are going through tough phase....its important to be support for each other and not thr critic.....
@Lokesh and to others.... stop leaving the forum like this. ..
I hope we all will get together on this forum with positive spirit....
Yeah Lokesh, you have been quite true and helpful. Keep up the great work you doing and sharing all the thoughts and analysis with all of us here. Many of us may not deeply analyze due to one or the other reason and sharing thoughts helps each one of us widen the thought process plus relax the anxiety a bit. I completely buy in your words here and agree.
I also know even if my kid get selected in coming days (no luck so far) I do have to wait for Bal Bharati results in Feb as I got in that list of 80 points. Hence, for me it will be like upper end of the demand with less supply in case my kid fails to get into Bal Bharati.
