All the parents of DWARKA who are interested in getting their ward admitted in DWARKA Schools can join this group and interact among each other and can also interact with previous year parents who admitted their wards in Dwarka Schools.
@ RANJAN KUMAR JHA : AS FAR AS I KNOW, MAXFORT WAS CALLING THOSE PARENTS WHO'S POINTS ARE BELOW 80. AS THEY WERE HAVING ENOUGH FORMS FOR DRAW. SO FOR BELOW 80 THEY WERE CALLING TO GIVE ADMISSION IN "MAXKIDS".
@ Asha...I have filled at least 27-28 Forms in Dwarka knowing this kind of Kiosk is going to be there when the knockout game will start...it did....I planned much before when I started the process that I will pull down all the schools from the priority list if they will ask for money as donation or any term they use....so even if I would have got my reg. number out of Draw I would have denied taking admission even if they try to convince me...So S R World School is a very new school and very expensive (They need to be establish themselves before asking for so much of money). As VIS Sec 10 was the establishment which kicked the name if Venkateshwara to its height that now they are asking for Donation for 2.5 Lakhs. The schools who wants to play they game of money will play for years after year with you for 14 long years....so I have dropped my decision from initiate anything with this schools - MBS, Maxfort,R D Rajpal, OPG, S R World School, Indraprastha, Nirmal Bharti (Not Sure for What They Are Charging the Damage Amount For)....Moreover CBSE affiliated schools will teach the same syllabus as other CBSE affiliated schools....only thing what matters is how good is there teaching staff and what there result for 10-12 every year.....how they polish a child...money is not going to give shine to a kid....one more important point which I emphasize that even if after paying 8-12 thousand per month in any of the good schools why kids have to go to tuitions later when they charge you so much money.....so the fact is every kid will learn the same thing its just the matter that how perfectly the school caters to one kid....even I am confused but focused on one thing out of this confusion that I wont choose with the schools which want to sell there brand and grow and don’t want to grow with the result that the kids will give to enhance there reputation and brand entity....I am just a father and its totally my perception....we all work day and night and out of all monthly commitments this school fee is also be a component to out monthly commitment as new pay out....so I am just waiting for a good average school with a fees structure of 15-20K Quarterly; and will opt from those option....
@Roy I can very well understand your concern, I completely agree to what you say however RDR is one option which fits in the fee bracket what you have stated and they are not asking for any kind of donation also and they are an established school with good reputation.*m nt endorsing this school, its my personal opinion coz of personal experience*
All..... i have a question. My son has secured a seat in Basava.
But me and my wife are of the opinion that at an age of 3+ , is it right to put a child in formal school which might not be that child centric like a play school. If we continue our child in Mother pride for nursery and then try for admission in kg or 1st in formal school. do the formal schools recognize nursery or kg in play school.
Even Nirmal Bhartiya seems suspicious. Last night I checked on website that draw will be at 1 today and so I took leave and today morning they changed it tomorrow. most of the schools are changing their draw dates which itself is surprising.
@ Amrit and Roy; Fees of DIS & Paramount is lesser than RDR.
DIS QTLY fees is 16800/- including Meals + Transportation. Fees to be deposit at the time of admission Rs 44855/- (DD or Cash) by 15th Jan.
Paramount QTLY fees is 16100/- including meals ( you can opt out meals of Rs 4200 Qtly by requesting them) so QTly fees will be 11,900/- + transport. FEES TO BE DEPOSIT AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION APPROX 35980/- TILL 17TH JAN.
DIS will deduct RS 10,000/- if you cancel the admission later on with in 15 days.
Paramount will deduct Rs 225/- only and refund rest , cancellation to be done with in 15 days, after that they will deduct 1 month fees.
Just for information pls. HOPE THIS INFORMATION WILL BE HELPFUL TO ANYONE WHO ARE LOOKING FOR THESE SCHOOLS.
I got a call from NewEra school dwarka, saying my child name is selected through management quota. There is no fees difference and they are not asking for any add-on amount on top of quarterly fees.
@ anu- at the top, just above members list you have 'leave group' link
@ prashant- Securing a seat will be more difficult next year in KG, also, even in formal school at 3+,4+ level, there are no exams or tests, so it is stress free for the kid.
I would suggest you to choose a formal school of your liking this year itself.
My Son got selected in KG class of RDR, Basava and Bal Bhawan. Please suggest me which one to go for. What is the refund policy for these schools as we are waiting for VIS, St Thomas and MCS.
@Prashant Aggarwal. It will much tougher next year in KG as very few schools provide seats in KG as on seat availability. May be you have to give donation to enroll him in good school. Choice is yours.
Call is purely based on if you can afford to loose 60K if selected in any of the other two.
8 seats are very less for MCS (same was with nursery) with a change that exam will be held. If your child does well, he/she would have a chance.
Looking at the own point system which every school is following, can't say where 60 points will stand for VIS. The number of applicants for VIS in any case would be more.
Haven't you approached other schools for KG? Your's is girl or boy child
Received sms from st.thomas....not clear if it means child selected or eligible for draw..
Dear Parents, Kindly check the school website today at 03:00pm for list of applicants for document verification on 16-17 Jan 2015. Regards STSDWK

Is draw for VIS, St Thomas and MCS on same dates as of Nursery? If yes, you can wait and then decide.
At the same time, it depends on how many seats these schools have for KG.
You can go with Basava otherwise.

Tough call. I think Since 60 K is donation, it will not be refunded.
Same may be applied for nursery kids also.
Has anyone who have secured seat in Basava checked this aspect?

@Meenakshi, yes we checked with Basava they wont refund 60K if you withdraw admission.

We approached to many schools but many have asked to check in mid feb or March like DPS,BBPS,NKB,BGS,DAV.
Indraprastha - They called us but since my son could not answer Phonetics well he was not selected.
We are left with RDR,Basava,JM,SR world, Bal Bhawan.
St Thomas, VIS, SVIS & MCS. - less chance.
Mine is a boy child 4+ . Can you suggest any good school which I can try?

You may see where 60 points stands for some school.
The total seats 126 straight away reduced to 37!!!

Why don't they open up schools only for siblings and first child separately?
This is becoming unfair every day with the chances being lean to get a good school for first child.
