Went for the document verification in dwarka international school yesterday, Got my daughter's name in draw in general list. they told the fee structure is approx 26K including 1st quarter tution fees of approx 10,400. However they are asking for 40 K donation / One time Cash for the school trust for which they will give receipt as well. when I said that my daughter's name is there in draw and its not the management seat I am asking for, they said pay 40 K and then only admission will be confirmed. I talked to principal as well but she was helpless too...as decided by management for 40 K donation. I checked with 1 more parent who came for sibling admission, they asked 35 K from her as well. Its really pathetic....I checked with Bal bhawan International school as well...they are also asking for 50 K out of which approx 28 K is donation without receipt...

Is all the school taking donation ??

any other parents who went for the document verification of Dwarka International School ? also pls give feedback of this school...

Also I believe...the purpose of draw is  to give first chance for the donation....if you are not ready...get aside...other parents are ready....
It seems nothing can be done as I think most of the school are taking donation / Registration / One Time deposit....

today i hv deposited fee in st thomas school, goyla vihar n secured admission but i m ready to withdraw if got better opportunity.........now i m waiting for result of BGS int. school, dwarka....plz tell me .if i get chance in BGS then whether i should go for BGS or not....plz review on comparison b/w st thomas and BGS school.......

Hi everybody, need an honest opinion on Presidium sec 22. We had blocked a seat there as back-up just in case we are unable get through any of the draws held in the good schools in Dwarka (which seems the case till now). Somebody told me it is still in the process of CBSE affiliation. Is it so? 

@ deepak- not all but many schools are taking money in the name of developmental fee or infracture fee or some other name. Mostly these are checks in the name of school society/ trust. In some cases it is in cash, which becomes black money. 

It is illegal and unethical. There isn't much we can do.

Otherwise, Dwarka international is a decent school. 

Some input from my side on the ITL school. I have taken admission there for my daughter however I am still waiting for BBPS result (proximity to my place and better feedback). I thought it will be valuable to share my inputs right now after hearing that so many schools are asking for donation even after their ward name appear in draw of lots.

My daughter's name came in the ITL list (draw of lots - first list) and I have submitted the fees last week. I have some apprehensions that school might ask some donation but all of my doubts got cleared as soon as I entered the premises for admission. Admission process is smooth, fast and clear as most of us want. Other than first quarter fees I have paid 16000 which includes Admission Fees, Annual Charges and Orientation charges.

After hearing so many stories on this forum (regarding donation even for normal cases) I feel lucky, satisfied and gives a Thumbs Up for ITL.

@ nikita - what is orientation charge?  ITL has been known for its good reputation in acedamics and moderate fee structure. How much is their monthly fee?

I just calculated svis management seat would cost you a freaking 3.13 lakhs  at the time of admission plus fees of other quarters, transportation , food, uniform & stationary add up to more than 4lakhs for the first year. I understand these are private schools, they don't get any aid from govt. But the amount they are charging does not justify any luxury schools may provide. On top of it, most schools dont pay teachers property(I don't know about svis specifically, but many top schools don't pay full salary). 

i had visited ITL 2 days back.

They are asking 1 lac as donation.quite frustrating.

Just need advise on Adarsh world school. Is it good to admit my son there. What are the pros and cons of ICSE pattern.

Fees is my concern as other schools are charging very high so i am pointing on this right now and waiting for BBPS and NKBPS.

Admission Fees: 200 (one time payment)
Annual Charges: 10890 (annually)
Orientation Charges: 5000 (one time payment)
Tuition Fees: 5100 (monthly)
Development Fees: 2250 (quarterly)
Mid Day Meal: 1000 (monthly -- optional)
Transport: 1900 (monthly -- optional)

Frankly speaking I cant explain Orientation Charge or even Annual Charge? Ideally only Tuition Fees make sense to me and it should cover all the expenses.

Is ITL asking 1Lac donation for normal seats as well (selected candidates in draw)? I assume you are talking about Management Quota.

1) Fee- wise comparison:

GD goenka and SVIS fall in same since their quarterly fee ranges from 29-33K

Bal Bharti and BGS should be between 20-25K.

2) Academic focus

Bal Bharti > SVIS > BGS Int > GD Goenka

3) Focus on extra curricular

GD Goenka = SVIS > Bal Bharti > BGS Int
