@ Ruchika..........somebody had mentioned they are taking Rs.85,000/- as donation from each selected in general category as well. is this true?

  • Ruchika Saxena

@Gaurav, thats' true..they are taking Rs 85000 as donation to their society. All the society run schools are doing that.

  • Ruchi

Guys m not getting any feedback from all of you regarding school admission of my daughter in st thomas dwarka.. pls suggest me before its too late..
  • amzad ahmed

@Ruchi..see the link, even I had confirmed a seat for my daughter yesterday.

    http://www.admissionsnursery.com/forum/topics/parents-can-provide-s...

  • Ruchika Saxena

@Ruchi, since you have doubt I would suggest you to check with other schools. I keep getting calls/sms from schools I had applied in for direct admission (not for MQ seats). It seems lots of good schools have vacant seats.St Thomas has a disadvantage in terms of its location. Check with school what do they do for security both in premises and in their transport arrangement.

  • Praveen Jha

Can anyone suggest fee structure of BGS, including one time, annual, meal and transport charges?
  • Ruchi

than ka @amzad but m unable to open the link..

Ruchika I think security wise school is fine the only issue is outside location dat can also b adjusted but m more worried on academic part.. bcs the fee is lil high around 6 plus excluding transport.. the fee is equelent to any other international level school..
if you guys have any idea about studies faculty n extra caricular activities pls advise..

    thanks in advance !
  • Shivshankari Sethu

Regarding STT i think the security concern people are talking about is about the  child molestation that happened in the school premises. other wise, the school building is fine.

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @ Ruchi

The school is really good overall if location is not your concern. Also, all other equivalent or better schools are in the range of 8K plus. I think 6K for school like STT is quite decent.

It all depends now what other options you have with you. But i am sure it will cost you much.

  • Ruchi

Thanks ms Lathaa n ms meenakshi for ur valuable information. . but ms Lathaa I tried so many times to open the link but still unable. .
  • Ruchi

    Thanks a lot mr rajiv..
  • Vijendra Singh

SVIS has any play ground ? I have seen swimming pool and basket ball court only.

  • Asha

    Hi Lathaa Ma'am and Moderator,

I want to know which is better for overall development of child in dwarka DPS and ITL. I have heard some bad things about DPS students taking drugs/wine in parties. Will u plz compare ?? Though i m not old-fachioned but Child's ethical behaviour is important for me. Plz analyze in the basis (stidy + extra-curricualr activity + personal attention + ethics)

    Thanks
    Asha
  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @ Vijendra

Playground is just next to the area where u see basket ball court. the corner area of it is for kids.

Basket ball court is used for skates etc also.

Everything is in the front of the entry of the school.

  • Sandeep Pal

    @Ruchi. St francis>St thomas

  • Sandeep Pal

    @Asha. ITL>>DPS Dwarka.

  • Priya

    Hello Lathaa Ma'am

Now I am trying for BGS (paid seat) or NKB draw too.

Do you think the above schools are worth considering in paid seats? I have already secured my seat in Sachdeva. What do you think these 2 schools have better than Sachdeva? Teachers? Teaching Methodology? Academics? Extra Curricular Acts?

    Please suggest!!

  • Shivshankari Sethu

@ sandeep - Can you share reason for rating DPS dwarka  much (>>)lower than ITL?when most people consider one of the best.

i am not trying to be sarcastic or anything, i genuinely want to know.

@ Priya- depends on how much they are asking. have you checked out?

  • deepak sharma

While Going through the DOE Delhi website...found this....Its for old session but some rules still applies...Good Information...
    http://www.edudel.nic.in/upload_2013_14/faq_dt_27012014.pdf

    One of the FAQ's:

11: Are parents allowed to carry mobile phone to school in the course of admission process ?
Answer:   Yes. Allowed. There should be no ban for carrying mobile phones to school in the course of admission process.

  • Shivshankari Sethu

@ Deepak- useful information. thanks for sharing. Many schools in dwarka dont allow Mobiles inside the premises.

  • Priya

True Shivshankari! many of them don't allow phones!

I don't know about how much they are asking or if they would even allow me to meet them. I am in dilemma if I shall really approach them for this? Are they extremely good than sachdeva that I must do. so I asked which all areas
If they surely are then I'll try my level best to meet them and know more.

    Best
    Priya

  • Mr. Vishal Sharma

Cant we request to DOE to Stop Management quota seats..?

It will really help to those parents who's kids name not  shorlisted..

  • Mr. Vishal Sharma

    Please share yourr views..

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @ Sandeep

You ranked bal bharti in last in other discussion forum and said the ranking is for your kid only.

Now you are keeping ITL better than DPS. I am sure you must be having reasons for that which we would like to hear.

We all know ITL is one of the best schools and Lathaa ma'am top 100 ranking shared yesterday also proved that.

But in that also, DPS was much above ITL.

Everyone can not get ITL and it is creating confusion I believe, atleast for the ones who are looking for the paid seats.

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @ Priya

NKB is not better than Sachdeva.

  • Deepak Jain

If school said mobile is not allowed in school premiss that means they surely ask or donation
  • RK

    @ Meenakshi
Can u please share the list of top 100 ranking schools which lathaa mam has shared. I m unable to find the same on this forum. Thanks
  • Asha

@Sandeep thnaks for response. even i would like to know on what paramter we ranked it like this.

Also wating for others response specially Latthaa Ma'am.

    Regards
    Asha
  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @ RK

    Go through

http://www.admissionsnursery.com/profiles/blogs/top-100-rankings-of... and see the ITL in top 100 rankings in class XII results in India.

  • RK

    @ Meenakshi

    Thanks a lot.
  • Sandeep Pal

@Meenakshi Katyal. According to me as far i have hear curriculum & academic ITL is better than DPS & According to Fee structure also. As told by many members that fee of DPS comes around 24000/- qtr its almost above ITL.

  • Sandeep Pal

According to me i will keep ITL above DPS is every respect.

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @ Sandeep

And same goes for Bal Bharti??

  • Priya

Meenakshi, are you sure? Coz I have seen lot of people on this forum talking a lot of good about NKB.
Why do u feel so? Please let me know and honestly I am giving a thought now to weather I shall really look for NKB meeting if I don't get a seat in draw.
Any idea about BGS. Is it worth checking with them than sachdeva?

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @ Priya

I am sure for myself if have to opt. I will go for Sachdeva between two if fees is not the concern. I know many kids in area who are studying both in NKB and Sachdeva. Both schools are good in terms of academics, activities etc.

Sachdeva is in small campus as compared of NKB but infra of Sachdeva is good as compared to NKB. NKB is more traditional.

  • deepak sharma

Yes Vishal....I think last year or before that session...there was no management quota in unaided private school....read it somewhere....
I don't know for this year...why they have started Management quota...
Also the school is already given management quota to earn money....its very shameful that they are still asking donation in some way or other...in name of trust...we can definitely complain to the DOE Delhi in written....Becuase the name they are publishing on the website....they need to give reason why they are not giving admission...any thoughts....

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @ Priya

Can not compare BGS with Sachdeva as don't know parents of BGS. But looking at the reviews of parents in this forum and discussion shared by Lathaa Ma'am about BGS vs Bal Bharti, it looks that BGS could be one you can look for if required for paid seat.

  • deepak sharma

Can anyone please tell me... are the schools  refunding the donation they are taking in case of cancellation of admission....
Bal bhawan is returning.....Dwarka International is saying non refundable donation of 40 K....
    Any other experience please...

  • Mr. Vishal Sharma

    Deepak

Even you can see under DOE guidelines for 2015-2016, there is not allowed for mgt quota seats..on the other hand there is also written the govt will not interfere to schools.

Every schhols trying to close it before elections, They scare of kejriwal..

  • Mr. Vishal Sharma

last time mostly draw was fair..

This time every school is asking money if you are shortlisted even..

    They made a slab..

    Not shortlsited--staright donation 100000

shortlisted- 40000 with admission +quaterly fess

Sibling shortlisted--35000 with admission + quaterly fess

want to take for 1st Class- 50,000 dobation +admission + quaterly fess

    This really very rediculous..

  • Meenakshi Katyal

Without making it political, none of the political parties are even bothered to talk about nursery admissions and problems being faced by parents.

  • deepak sharma

Vishal...yes you are right....they are afraid of Kejrwal...
I remember I met with 1 parent for sibling admission...she was asked to pay 35 K...
By any chance...do you have idea if schools are refunding the donation in case of cancellation...??
