  • Mr. Vishal Sharma

If it continues this year,, it will reamain same in next to next year..

See Education will become very costly..today schools are demanding 1 Lac, next 10 years they can ask for 5 lac...

Rich people dont mind to give donations, even EWS people can teach there kids free..

Where will go middle man/Salaried Man..???

  • Hemanth

As far as I remember, next date of court hearing on nursery admissions was 29-Jan (i.e. today). Any updates on the case??
  • Mr. Vishal Sharma

    @ Deepak

They are not giving any receipt of donation, if your name is  not shorlisted.. then as per my thinking they will not return donation..

They are saying we will not give any written proof of donation, only admission recepit slip will be given..

  • Mr. Vishal Sharma

We should talk to Mr Vohra, Only he can help us...

I really dont know the procedure how to contact with DOE..

  • deepak sharma

    @ Vishal

Today I visited BGS, as my son got selected in the school for admission process. The process was really nice and after document verification we were told to meet the Principal of the school because she meets every parent before anyone takes admission to address any doubts or queries parent might have before finalizing the admission.

She was extremely humble, down to earth, approachable and gave answers to a lot of questions herself in the briefing of the school before we asked about, the methodology they adopt, the student teacher ration and her vision with it, how football academy is helping students grow (though just not limited to football) and being consistently delivering back to back players in our national team for last few years, how the campus is secured and she herself have all the locations tracked in her room via video cam, how they strive hard to ensure that there is 100% participation of every child in the functions of the school so as to grow them in every sense and implement a vision to grow every child in that manner. She was very polite and helped us with our concerns, how the journey BGS took right frm the start as she is the founding principal and low drop out rate of around 15-20 odd children at the very max. I liked the playground, the overall infra even though it is not air conditioned. How some students from the school were even selected in the exchange program in Japan by the Indian Govt, more than 85% marks secured in class 12th if I remember correctly.

So, I felt there is a balance of academics as well as extra curricular and special attention towards the fact that every child of the class participates in extra curricular activities as well as functions of the school were key take away for me from the school and most of the things said in the thread of comparison between BGS and Bal Bharati holds true or improved (like student going abroad for exchange programs) only for BGS. I am much satisfied to continue with BGS only even if my child get through BBPS having secured 80 points. The major reason is stress on 100% participation in extra curricular as I am introvert myself and could never got a platform for being an extrovert which now in professional life I feel somehow makes me under perform at times. Hence, for me it is one of the major differentiating factor apart from approachable principal ready to answer any queries you as a parent have, no money minded approach (I do not think we paid anything even for the admission forms for this school nor they asked us to pay today apart from usual fees) in being more inclined to BGS.

I will keep updating the feedback here as well as my blog (as on off topic) every year how the kid will do in BGS so that it is helpful for other parents too in order to take decision before admitting or choosing BGS. We will be called 16th March for a tour of school and I will post the updates as soon as I am back.

Please read the thread of comparison between BGS and Bal Bharati:

    http://www.admissionsnursery.com/group/dwarkaparentsgroupnurseryadm...

So, far  I am very much satisfied after visiting the school and there is some kind of positive vibe right from the start with this school even after visiting almost all the schools of Dwarka. I will be submitting the seat and will go ahead with the admission tomorrow.

Rest time will tell, how my kid work hard himself, and how we work hard with him with the school to be a good human being first and then an excellent student with overall exposure to academic as well as extra-curricular activities.

My sincere thanks to this forum and all the parent for helping each other out here in the journey on choosing the right school. Running a travel community myself, I understand how the active participation of members of the community helps everyone to make it more meaningful and effective.

  • Charu Subnani

    Laathaji ,

Which is better NBS or GD Goenka ?  Kindly advise. Thanks

  • Shivshankari Sethu

@ Vishal- DOE cannot do anything about Management seats. they dont even intervene in matters that are under their control- like issuing a calender for all schools, establishing refund policy.

The courts have given private schools permission for MQ seats. honorable is Supreme Court is our only hope.

@ Priya- I am sure if you tell them MQ seats je bare me milna hai, most schools will let you in,

My guess is BGS MQ seat would be easily over a lakh.

  • Deepti Kohli

    @ Hemanth

I believe BGS quarterly fees is around 16000 + Transport

  • Deepti Kohli

    Dear all

Has anyone approached BGS for Management Seats.

  • deepak sharma

DOE can't do about management quota....totally agree...
but for general seats as well...schools are asking donations...even after getting name in draw...Can DOE do something about it ? do they act also or they are just take complain and support schools.... anyone have any example ?

Anyone going for Gregorious draw tomorrow?
  • deepak sharma

Gregarious draw is tomorrow or on 31st Jan ...Its website is not opening up...
Also where the draw will be ...sec 11 or janakpuri and at what time ??

  • Ajay Sharma

My daughter's name is in waiting list of BGS (WL-11), can anyone please tell me if the school management is asking for any donation from general candidates (selected via lot or waiting list).

  • Shivshankari Sethu

I think both are good, but ITL is much much cheaper than  GD goenka.

ITL is also among the top schools in Delhi with respect to to 12th results.

    Go for ITL

  • DHEERAJ SHARMA

@Ajay Sharma: There is no donation asked by the BGS. My son has got selected. The whole process is very transparent so far.

    @Hemant

The total lump sum fees is approx 120K for first year and from next year it comes down to around 80K for BGS. They take 50K advance fees for the first year at the time of admission and rest you can pay in 4 installments. Along with 50K DD, you need to submit a DD of Rs 1225 which they will keep in case you withdraw the admission AFAIK.

  • DHEERAJ SHARMA

@Lathaa ji, thank you. And it will be a pleasure if I can be of any help in time to come.

  • Ajay Sharma

    Thanks Dheeraj.

St Gregorious School List of selected Candidates

  • Priya

Oh! all selected from 50 points only :(

  • Amit Kumar Jha

Woes continues. Now iam really worried. out of 15 schools no where my kid name is mentioned.

  • Lokesh Mehta

    @Amit Kumar Jha

    Don't loose hope.

Sachdeva Public School, sector 18 is giving admission without donation till last to last week, even your child name is not in waiting list also, go ahead and take admission there if you personally feel school is fine.

  • Asha

    @Amit i suggest u to block a seat atleast.
  • KAPIL CHAWLA

How about St. Thomas via MQ

  • Priya

Kapil, if location is not a concern for you than its a good school. for boy child, seems better as per location is concerned. Parents of girl child are little concerned for the location only.

  • Puneet Sethi

Anyone approached BGS for MQ seat?
  • Priya

I heard even GD Goenka asking for 2 lacs under MQ seat.
Wondering if its really worth paying this much amount in GDG or better to pay the same in VIS 10.

One of my friend choose to pay to GDG than VIS 10 for many reasons :(

  • Sumonto Ghosh

what is refund policy of R D Rajpal?

    please help if anyone knows.
