is there any hope of her getting through

though i've secured her admission in sachdeva but i was keen on bal bharati

  • Amit Kumar Jha

50:50 chances arun. As most of the parents are very keep to get admission in BBS

  • Deepak Jain

What d hell is this not selected even having 80 points
  • Amit Kumar Jha

deepak mine was also not selected even after 80 points

  • Meenakshi Katyal

    @ All

I was going through the eligible kids lists.

Leaving the sibling cases (they had separate list), the other male + female eligible kids were 1296.

1296 kids securing 80 points means all are within 3 km range of the school.

I am still not sure if there could be 1296 within 3 km?

    @ Arun

I think you had very good chance.

  • Shivshankari Sethu

    @ meenakshi - good observation

almost 1300 kids in 3 kms distance is a lot, but one should also consider its 3 kms by radius and not by route as in most other schools.

But still it looks like a huge number

My daughter too had 80 points but didnt get selected

    @ Shiv

With this calculation, it looks like 75% of kids looking for nursery admission in dwarka reside near BB. I may be wrong.

Have u made your mind for SVIS?

  • Shivshankari Sethu

@ Meenakshi- it does look like a huge number, 1300 kids in 3 kms radius in sec 12

Regarding svis- we are planing to visit SVIS on monday, but most probably we'll stick to Basava.

  • divya khandelwal

my son name is in NKBS school list also .however  i have already deposited fee in ITL and modern Convent

planning to withdraw from Modern tomorrow.

    @ lathaa Mam

pls   suggest shall i continue with ITL or NKBS is better considering fee structure and overall dovelepment.

  • Amit Arya

@divya khandelwal- there is no comparison between ITL and NKBS. ITL is faar better... ITL>>>>>>>>> NKBS.

There shall be no second thought prevailing in your mind about this.

    This is my opinion.

  • Shivshankari Sethu

@ Divya - ITL is way better than NKBS.

  • Sanjay Mehta

  • Sandeep Saini

    Hi Lathaa Mam, All,

I have applied to ~20 schools but my son's name did not feature in any school's main or waiting list, Shall I opt for MQ seats in any of the schools or take admission in schools like Icon for next 1-2 yrs...

Couple of things in favor for Icon to me so far is that firstly I am not sure to stay in and around Dwarka for next more than 2 yrs, secondly Icon school cab comes right till my door whereas buses for every other school at at least 1 km away.

So do u suggest to go for any schools MQ seat or Icon, Also Do u have any idea if Icon's kids will be accepted in other schools in the relevant level in following years?

    Thanks,

    Sandeep

  • Sandeep Pal

@Sandeep Saini. Is you child going in any play school or not.

  • Manju Chauhan

Pls suggest BGS , ITL or Bal bharati

  • Sandeep Saini

    @Sandeep Pal... Yes... Eurokids currently

  • Sandeep Pal

    @Manju Chauhan. ITL>BGS>Bal Bharti

  • Sandeep Pal

@Sandeep Saini. If didnt got admission this year you can try for KG next year as many schools open admission for the same like, VIS Sec10, Indraprastha, CRPF, Suchdeva Global & many more.

  • Prasanth Menon

    @Vaanya

With regard to Uniforms in Gregorios, I was told by a parent that they have one particular shop in Dwarka from where one could purchase the same.  Books most probably they will let us know at the time of Orientation.

  • Prasanth Menon

@Latha Manavalan Thanks for the link on Fee Refund

  • Rajesh

Is there anyone having list of EWS draw of JM International

  • Manju Chauhan

    @Sandeep Pal Thnx a lot

  • sandeep

    Prasanth Menon

Please share the fees structure of SGS

  • Deepti Kohli

Just to inform, if anyone has blocked seat in DIS, they are processing the refund on a timely basis within a span of one week, forfeiting an amount of Rs. 10000/-

  • Praveen Jha

Can anyone please share the fee structure of Bal Bharati and NK Bagrodia?
  • Rahul Seth

are 2nd list out for schools like ITL, BGS etc?

  • Shivshankari Sethu

@ Rahul - ITL came up with 2nd list more than a week back. BGS not yet.

  • deepika singh sengar

@shiv have u visited svis today?

  • Shivshankari Sethu

@ Deepika- yes i did visit Svis today, i am sticking with Basava.
  • deepika singh sengar

@shiv any negative feedback from ur piont of view abt svis, becoz i m still cofused between svis and balbharti.i have to decide till tomorrow

  • Shivshankari Sethu

@ Deepika- I was comparing with Basava. Many have said SVIS is very good at co-curricular activity, i  was happy with the amount of activities in Basava for my kid,

i wanted to base my decision on academic in higher classes,Basava has good 12th results where as SVIS is yet to appear in 12th. SVIS doesnt ve a playground. I didnt want AC school for my daughter-point Basava

For me it also meant loosing 60k in basava and additional 85k in SVIS.

So for my Basava fits into what i am looking for in a school.

  • deepika singh sengar

@ shiv if money was not the point then which one u choose among these three

BAL BHARTI or BASAVA or SVIS for your daughter for overall development

  • Sandeep Saini

    Thanks Lathaa...

  • Shivshankari Sethu

@ Deepika- If i had to choose betweeen the three i would go be BBPS>Basava>SVIS.

  • Shivshankari Sethu

@ Deepika- When this whole admission process started VIS and SVIS was in the top of my desired schools list. during the course i was put-off by VIS pushing MQ seats before draw for general seats, I met a VIS parent who had to pay the school for desired group in 11th. these incidences just scared me.

Even when i visited the school today there was also an unpleasant incident. A school parent(of 10th std student) came to complain about something and the reception lady literately yelled at him, then he wrote a complain letter to school chairman. the lady tore the letter after the parent left, right in front of us. then the staff was discussing how "unpad, gavar" parents spoil school atmosphere. I was really put -off by this incident.
. Most people consider VIS and SVIS as best in Dwarka, but I am just not interested in that school anymore

  • deepika singh sengar

thanks shiv for ur valuable feedback.now everything is clear in my mind

  • Rahul Seth

    @shivshankari

    Thanks

Does anyone has that list - i couldn't find that info on the website and am out of town for few days.

  • PANKAJ JAITLY

    Dear All,

With the new Government coming in is there any scope that we complain against the management quota practice of all schools and all schools need to revisit their admission policy. Can AN help in this.

  • Shivshankari Sethu

@ Rahul- it was available last week, if you can scroll down a few pages you might find it.

@ Pankaj - Private unaided  schools dont come under Govt, In any case it was the honorable court which gave private unaided schools permition  for MQ seats.

But we can atleast hope for some guidelines regarding criteria and proper filling of ews seats from the new govt.

    Hope for the best.

  • vaanya

    @ Sandeep

    Fee structure for St Gregorios:
Rs. 16150 (including 2mnths tuition fees, Annual fees , Development fees)

excluding transport . Transport is very minimal around 1000/pm
