  • Shikha Rawal

Thanks Ashima, also for Amity - do we have to submit the online filled application physically as well ?

  • Shikha Rawal

pls share link for applying to Tagore International Vasant Vihar

  • Yash

    Thanks Ashima,

It was such a breeze at Vasant valley, very well planned & organised.

  • Ashima Obhan

Shikha yes the form has to be physically submitted at Amity. They have a drop box just at the gate.
  • Udit Sawhney

Amity - you need to attach DOB and Address proof copy.

  • Udit Sawhney

How good is Red Rose school, Saket?

  • Ashima Obhan

birth certificate and address proof has to be attached to Amity form. Unless you also have sibling, alumni or interstate transfer points - then those will also have to be provided. Documents have to be self attested.

Does anyone knows if Cambridge Nursery School form can be submitted at their Sr. School branch in Srinivaspuri?

  • Rohit Agrawala

Hi, there was report in the news papers today that the schools are making further classifications in the distance criteria set by the DOE. The schools are categorizing the students on the basis nearest to school within the 8 Kms range. for exmaple, distance from school 0-2 km 70 points, 2-4 km 50 points, 4-6 km 30 points and so on. Is it true.....

  • indu das

    Which schools r doing this@rohit

  • Udit Sawhney

Now people here are not interested in helping others it seems.  I asked twice if someone has feedback on New Green Fields and Red Roses Public School, Saket - but never got any answer :(

  • indu das

@Mr Udit..red Roses and NGF are ok type schools...doesnt come on the top 10 list of south delhi...but still u can apply....BTW can u tell me how to apply for red rose..

  • Udit Sawhney

Red Rose - we need to go to the school to get the form. I am planning tomorrow morning.

Anybody filled Gyan Bharti? Online submitted form print comes in a wierd format. Please share!!!

  • Khushwinder Singh

@Udai - Gyan Bharti printout is in wired format only. While printing try increasing the font size (by going to properties) little bit.
Everyone there was carrying this same wired printout only when I submitted the form.

  • indu das

Agree with Khushwinder even i submitted in the miniature format only...the schools authorities will have to use magnifying glass to read so many forms....feels emphaty on  than

  • indu das

@Udit...people r discussing that the process is totally online in Red Roses...

  • indu das

  • shikha gupta

For Gyan Bharti for generl category we do not have to submit the form/docs to the school. Only online registration is required

  • shikha gupta

  • Neeraj Sehgal

how many schools should we apply with70 points in General category to have decent chances of securing a seat ?

  • indu das

Thanks Shikha...Yes in DPS international school saket when i have submitted online I saw msg that they will notify about submission of hard copy....But i have registrared my mobile no after fews days of online submission...maybe thats why i did not got any notification for submission of hard copy

  • indu das

even I wanted to know neeraj...i have applied 16 days as of now..missed some schools as we dont have voter id card which some schools r asking as address proof(applied a month ago..and also received a msg from election office that it will be delivered within 7 days but a month has passed and no sign of getting it)

  • Rashmi

I was analysing the guidelines and what I understood is that all the transfered parents would get their ward admitted very easily in their choice of school. If I am living in Delhi since my childhood I would get just 70 points and transfer cases would get 75 points. In todays world most of the employees take transfer according to there convenience and very few are forced to take it.
I dont think this is fair enough.
  • Neeraj Sehgal

    @Rashmi - i tend to agree with u.

i really don't understand how a General category, first born male child has equal chances under Right To Education, given the current point system.

It is really upto one's luck in the lottery system now determining the failth of building a future responsible citizen of the country !

    Fairness is a debatable topic.

  • Khushwinder Singh

@Rashmi; Neeraj: even I agree too. And I have also observed (at the time of submitting the forms) that this time application in transfer cases are very high as compare to previous years. And if that is true then chances of getting seats in general category will be further minimal.
If someone can update - what document proof one needs to show while applying in transfer cases? just the appointment letter which should say job is transferable?

  • sansan

Delhi has the most pathetic & unfair policy regarding education:

Schools: People living in Delhi for deacdes, lose out on 5 points (transfer). People living in Delhi pay taxes to build schools / fund for EWS for years, only to lose out to people who had moved to Delhi less than a year ago !!!

Logically: Transfer points should be allowed only if a child is already studying in a school ie will get admission in KG & above in Delhi (with 5 points) only if he has been studying in nursery in the city from where his parents have been transferred to Delhi.

    Unfair ???

Colleges: Anyone from pan India can apply in Delhi Colleges while Delhi citizen pays taxes to build & run the colleges. If Delhi citizen seeks admission in other states like MH, only a very very few seats (in some MH colleges as low as one seat only) are reserved for outsiders.

    Unfair ???

BJP Vijay Goel took up the colleges issue but in vain.

AAP Manish Sisodia also looking into the issue of colleges.

    Let us see.

  • Rashmi

Even I agree transfer point should be for admission in KG and above. There is no sense in giving transfer points to the entry level ie for nursery
  • Sanjeev

While the second child gets the luxury of sibling points, I wonder what's the fault of the first born child to get stranded at 70 points?
  • Khushwinder Singh

@Neeraj - As much as possible or rather to all the schools wherever you are qualifying w.r.t distance criteria.
With so many applications already in place, definition of decency has changed :)

  • Abhishek Sharma
