All the parents of West Delhi who are interested in getting their ward admitted in West Delhi schools can join this group and interact among each other and can also interact with previous year parents who admitted their wards in West Delhi Schools.
got a call from saplings paschim vihar for original verification with child. they also asked to bring fitness certificate and pan card. anybody else got the same call?
@ sunny, saplings is fairly decent school also it makes sure that every child participates on stage.
in academics its very good.
the only drawback it has, that it doesnt have a play area , too congested.
ya, saplings is the junior branch
after kg parents are given the choice bhatnagar in A1 or manavsthali in bhera enclave which is up to 9 std with play area aswell.
Given the situation.... i don't think........my daughter will get admission in any school.....some of the schools have received record applications.....above that schools have there own set of rules......whats gonna happen.....
Which are the other Schools in dwarka like DPS, that are doing the draws for 5% girl quota before 28th Feb? Please send the respective dates for each school also.
@ Dr. Vartika...they will ask money for every possible acitivity in the school over & above the fees....My cousion got her son admitted last year.....though he was in the list....but he was asked to pay around 50k extra for which no recipt was given to him....when he questioned....no bdoy gave any reasonable answer to him....as it was only school left he complied with them...& the fees he paid there was much higher then type of education they provide....this year he is again looking for admission in other school...these schools are being run purely as business model not as school.......
RVG agree with you...bt shcools like DPS, Convent schools they do not charge that much money...as international schools.. their standard of education is excellent as compared to other schools i was going through the last year result of springdales their was not a single student who scored less the 75 percent in boards....number of students who scored 75 percent was between 10 or 15 or maybe less, i dont recall..they charge nominal fees for that kind of education....how do they manage & if they can manage then any school can manage....
@dharm actually the modern schools are equipped with things like air conditioned class rooms, ac buses , online learning, favourable teacher/student ratio. now these will automatically lead to rise in fees/charges. as far as my interaction with parents of indraprastha wards go, they are satisfied with the school. most of them are well earning buisnessmen though.
@Dr.Vartika...you need to check with schools..what will be their present status...or check with their websites...their might be first list in some schools but most of the schools admissions will be done on the basis of lottrey....some schools in which i have applied have assured that they will get in touch with the parents..some have advised to keep checking the website on regualr basis all info will be posted onlie...
RVG.. i am not against charging for the faciltiy provided but against the amount they charge.....and after that they keep downgrading the level...the school in which my daughter is going charge me for every thing...they provide...just like modern day school.....but the facility they ae providing is not of that mark for i am being charged....above all... teachers will call us and inform that their is such n such event at the school & you have to prepare your kid for the same please shortlist a story...send back to me and we will finalize and you make her learn that...is that justified...i dont have problem teaching my own kid but if teachers tell me that sir this the story which i feel she should prepare... please have her practice at home....we are doing the same at the school....though some time i think these are small isues but these cannot be neglected.. think about working parents... how they will manage.. when you go for admissions school tells you we ensure all round development for kids, we treat your kids as our own kids....but the last line parents cannot hear properly is.....we also treat your money as ours...
Dharam/ vartika... i am not against paying for extra facilities provided by the school...however concern is wht is the upkeep of these facilities....mordern or smartclassrooms require teachers to have knw how on how to use it.....and teachers seldom use it....
DPS dwarka today added upper age limit for nursery admission....what the status....is it to shorten the list of candidates....when its not allowed as per law...then y .......
Can anyone help me stack rank schools b/w St francis(St peters), Janak Puri; Nirmal Bhartia, dwarka; DPS, dwarka; bbps(both Dwarka and Pitam Pura); Venkateshwar International, dwarka; Mt carmel, dwarka; queens valley, dwarka and St Thomas, dwarka.
I am sure everyone has their own respective opinion about different schools for their kids. Would truly appreciate the help.
i had gone to bhatnagar today
fee structure is as follows
around 7600 pm
550 monthly devp charges
,,2500 to3000 transport fee
i thought i had gone to some mall and not a school.
laid too much stress on packaging.
i had applied in 52 schools (33 in Dwarka, 13 Vikaspuri & 6 in Janakpuri) will my son get into any of the affordable schools (i.e. fees ranging from 2800-4000)
even, if my son get selected in luxury schools (i.e. fees ranging from 5000-8000) has no meaning for me, i know my limits a school which can impart a good academic & over all self-development under the umbrella of affordability is my main consideration
