BLOT: If your criterion is only academics, then go for it…

Hello Nitesh Ji,

I got very mix reviews of Mount Carmel School. It totally depends on criteria’s you are looking for your lil princes. I discussed with many parents who are part of this school and following are the Pros and Cons:

Pros:

• This is one of the best school for academics, means, if your criteria is only good academics, then you can opt this school.
• Nominal fees structure.
• No extra expense or demand during the school session.
• They have TaekwonDo classes.
• Inculcate discipline in kids.
• If kid is good in academics and extrovert, then this school gives lots of opportunities to that kid, for eg. Debate competition, performance etc.
• They provide singing and dance classes.
• They follow pure conventional teaching methodology.

Cons:

• No sports activities like skating, Tennis (their main branch sec 22 has tennis court however it is not in good shape), Swimming etc.
• No extracurricular activities.
• Total strength of class is 40 in nursery and upper classes like KG and 1^st may go till 45-46.
• No special attention to kids.
• They do not focus on personality development.
• If your kid is average then do not expect school to give special attention on your kid. They will go by curriculum and promote kids who are already good.
• Sector 22 branch has better teachers as compare to sector 28.

Hope I have not confused you and this will help you in taking decision.

My personal Opinion: I am not targeting this school as my criterion is not only academics. I am looking for schools which have inclination towards extracurricular activities along with academics, which will help my daughter in personality development.

I am not in W/l of SVIS, and have not yet approached them for mgmt seat. Actually I am concerned about the fact that all the students selected in draw and in W/L are girls, so it will virtually turn into a school of only girls, only boys will be of EWS and few of mgmt quota.
