Schools offering special education in an integrated/inclusive environment

Hi.

I would like to know what schools in Gurgaon are good with respect to their providing assistance in terms of special education to the children needing it.

If you can help me with some schools and also rate them in an order -schools that are good(in terms of the attention / special education that they give to students) pls. do let me know. I am not specifically looking at the schools that necessarily have a good infrastructure and such things but schools that are good at taking care of its children.

Also how would you rate the following schools on the mentioned parameter.

1.Vasant Valley,Vasant Kunj,Delhi

2. Amity Global,sec 46,Gurgaon

3. G D Goenka,Sec 48,Gurgaon.

Special education is basically provided by special educators.

Special education or special needs education is the education of students with special needs in a way that addresses the students' individual differences and needs. Ideally, this process involves a little individual systematic planning and systematically monitored arrangement of teaching procedures, to help learners with special needs achieve a higher level of personal self-sufficiency and success in school and community than would be available if the student were only given access to a typical classroom education.

Common special needs include children who are slow learners(have challenges in learning and need a little extra/special attention from the teacher) OR communication challenges- due to various reasons (emotional/behavior ) OR any physical disabilities /developmental disorders.

Students with these kinds of special needs benefit from additional educational services such as different approaches to teaching, use of technology, a specifically adapted teaching area.

thnx. had been to the schoolex today...amity global also has sp.educators...also heritage I suppose has an inclusive programme.

Amity Global is in its 1st year .No feedback on heritage from any parent regarding Inclusive education. You can check with Shriram Millennium.

In addition to Sriram. I would like to confirm that Heritage, Scottish High and Shiv Nadar are also inclusive schools. They all have special educators to take care of special needs kids that can be taught in mainstream environment. Any school that does is doing a great service to society and their efforts are really appreciated. That also tells a lot about these schools and their philosophy.
