As nursery admissions are yet to start in Delhi schools, parents from Delhi are blocking seats in various private schools of Noida. Commuting from Noida to Delhi is also easier as most schools ply their buses to parts of Delhi.
The schedule for nursery admissions in Delhi schools is fixed for December-January. However, as many schools in Noida have started their nursery admission process, parents from Delhi, particularly in east and south, have started registering their wards for nursery admissions in Noida schools.
“I want to keep my hands full so that when the list is declared, I have schools to choose from rather than the other way round,” Paulomi Ghosh of Mayur Vihar, Phase 1, said.
Education experts say that the trend has been prevalent since the last year as new schools are being set up in Noida.
“Parents want to make sure that they have one good school in hand and hence apply to Noida schools. New schools coming up in Noida also have a holistic curriculum and the parent to teacher ratio is less. Moreover, there are limited options in Delhi, so it is always beneficial to have more options,” Sumit Vohra, founder of admissionnursery.com, said.
Many schools, including DPS Noida in Sector 30, Shri Ram Millenium School in Sector 135, Global Indian International School (GIIS) in Sector 71, Mayoor International School in Sector 126, Shiv Nadar School in Sector 168 and Lotus Valley International School in Sector 126 ply their buses to east and south Delhi.
“As almost 10% of our students are from Delhi, our buses ply to Preet Vihar and Patparganj in east Delhi and Jasola and Lajpat Nagar in souh Delhi for their convenience,” Rajeev Katyal country head of GIIS, said.
“It was a safe bet for us to apply for nursery admissions in Noida because we did not get the preferred option here in Delhi. Now my son studies in Shiv Nadar School and the distance does not pose any inconvenience to us,” Sapna Kapoor of Defence Colony in Delhi said.

next month, both the addresses are at 7 KM from the School, with distance being same and keeping in mind the requirements of address proof, I gave my Ghaziabad address while filling the form, today someone told me that they won't even consider the applications from Indirapuram/Ghaziabad, Is that true? If yes, is there is a possibility of changing the address on the form. I do have the allotment and Possession letter for my new address to be used as proof.
2. While I am preferring Amity, FAS and Somerville [Age criteria not satisfied for DPS and don't prefer APJ] and applied in all three of them, I would like to keep some back up options. How would you rate The Millenium, Sec 41 [Not TSMS], Billabong and GIIS as compared to Khaitan and among themselves?
Thanks!…

her than SBS and this is what impressed me the most. It has all the things which the core Shriram school has. It has tied up with Educomp (Millenium) only for infrastructure as it did not have a decent location over here. The management, curriculum and teachers are all managed by Shriram group. Also almost 30% teachers over here have been tranferred either from Shriram Delhi and Gurgaon. Even the current vice principal has been transferred from the Gurgaon branch.
There are 2 kids of my friends who have been going to TSMS for the last 3 years and I can see the difference. There is no flashy stuff in the school and it keeps the kids grounded.
The one and only issue is the high fee structure but then you need to pay for quality and brand.…

mayoor's way of giving homework is more creative, and doesnt put too much of unwanted stress on kids. if we compare fees of amity and mayoor apple to apple, there is a difference of 500rs. between monthly tution fees between mayoor and amity that also changed only this year. apart from that, i feel the difference in fees between amity and mayoor is because amity takes in more kids (almost double of mayoor), so the amount gets equated among the numbers, and fees/ kid comes down slightly.
@ josh: we had applied to amity, somerville international, millenium, apeejay and mayoor, DPS. we got regret mail from DPS (dont think they are too interested when both parents are working), we didnt go to apeejay for interview as son my had viral fever, all the other schools we got admission including amity, and we chose to pay fees in mayoor. Our process in noida ends here, we will want to apply in a few delhi schools (we stay in sarita vihar) in january- but for now i think we are through with the nursery grind in noida…

As we know "The Shriram School" Arawali Hills, Delhi-Gurgaon is considered one of the best (Education World had ranked it as No.1 School in Pan India) is a benchmark in itself and Educomp is apioneer in Education Softwares ..so this school will surely be going to create a Niche in NCR school in coming times..
Yes you are right about Fees..which may be high to cash on the legacy of the Shriram brand..
Regarding Mayoor School... (set up in 2003).its also has a great heritage in name of the "Mayo College", Ajmer..and has created a brand in itself in schools set up at Expressway....
http://www.mayoornoida.net/
The choice is entirely yours pls..as you can visit both the schools and talk to the parents there..
For Apeejay..All the Best.…

Personally I feel traditional schools are a little tough on children, but they prepare the child well for the real world outside school. Competition, pressure, stress are all a part of life which a child should be well equipped to handle once he/she reaches college, since its all competitive after that. We all are products of traditional schools and I feel we are doing fine :)
New age schools are a little easy on kids. They provide a little cushioned environment to the children. Maybe they create more opportunities, but in the process I feel there is a risk of being spoon fed. The interiors and methods of these schools itself are so sophesticated that I wonder that once a child becomes accustomed to these styles, how would he adjust to the challenges and hardships of life after school.
This is a personal opinion. Als…
sery admissions last year as we were expecting our transfer and relocation.
I stay at Vaishali, Ghaziabad and my baby is currently going to little millenium in nursery. And now I am confused...should I apply for nursery admissions or should I get her admitted to KG....please suggest.
Is it really hard to get admission in KG as compared to nursery??
Moreover I am looking for a good school....not big shots...with reasonable fee structure....can you suggest few names???
How about Cambridge, Indirapuram and Father Agnel, Sec 62, Noida??…
