al aptitude of parents...which may help in longer end)..alongwith child's interaction if they go for it..in 2nd one they interact personally with parents...
Apeejay also have criteria with slight modification...in 1st phase: child interaction in same room when parents are being interviewed by some sr.faculty...and then in 2nd interaction parents are interviewed by the principal or headmistress or someone from the management.
Both the schools have reputed brands and definitely they stress for the best amongst all options available at their end.
my sincere advice will be not to stress your child or urself too much...just have thie child at ease before & during interaction of any good school...feel confident..and give your best shot by focussing on the unique positive points of your kid and yourselves.
as per my personal experience we were helped alot from the discussions in this forum and this year i've seen parents are much more aware before filing for any school.
Pls note that there is no sure shot specific parameters on which one is selected or one not...its just the performance on that specific day that matters most..
(P.S.-i shall request other experienced parents of this forum to add and give their inputs too..as we are not experts..we are just similar parents as others are..but helping each others to avaoid the hurdles we had gone through last year..)…

oints based on my research are here. Happy to hear what other parents have to say -1) In addition to the new age schools you mentioned, I see SHiv Nadar to have a wonderful future. I personally visited the school and liked their approach towards education.2) I also feel DPS noida and Amity are well established and know their business well. But I have heard from many parents that these schools are now banking on their brand names. For fresh minds of 4 year old , a 50 student strength in a class seems to be on a higher side. Also their academic results are great but I have heard that they mainly focus on the top 5-10 bright students in the class as they cannot forego their reputation, thus not providing enough opportunities to all kids. The well established schools seem to be over crowded to me and they still need to understand and accept the new era education which is more than books and which is developing self learning abilities which may be the new age schools can offer better as they still need to prove themselves. This is what I understood and gathered when speaking to different parents and it may just be a wrong notion that I am carrying.Just thought to share and have a discussion with my fellow parents who might be having all these different thoughts going on .…

on at pre nursery level is like a pre booking for nursery. No one takes back there child from SBS after admitting under normal circumstances.
Kothari is the most established school in new age schools. They have already passed 4-5 batches of 12th. Have flexibility of CBSE and IGCSE curriculums, thus giving flexibility to parents in higher classes. Lower student teacher ratio. Buses all operated by school. No private operator. Equal opportunity to all kids in all spheres rather then concentrating only on kid's specialities.
Mayoor has a mixed feedback on this forum too and some parents whose kids are studying in the school and I have spoken to.
GIIS, Gyanshree are too new to speak for. GIIS has a very small campus. Surely outdoor sports will be an issue.
Shriram has a small campus but has a good faculty and teaching pedagogy.
The difference I have seen in these established and new age schools is that -
Established schools have attitude, they will treat you as only parents and not customers, their faculties are experienced, lower attrition rate of teachers as they are working for a brand, basic facilities to student are provided.
New Age schools treat you as customers not parents. So you have the option to question them. Facilities like air conditioning, swanky buses, well built websites etc are provided. But experienced faculties is a big question. They are in the process of learning and improvising.
So now the question still remains which needs to be answered by respective parent - whether he wants experimentation at a new age school or wants to go into experienced hands.
Concluding Remarks as per me - Either go for Amity Noida or DPS Noida. Else Kothari or Shriram Millenium. I hope that helps

le, working hours, language we communicate at home, with scenario based questtions between kid parent and school. does she go to daycare, working hours of mom , who takes care of child at home etc. which were not genuine ... bcoz why they forget that even they are working as a teacher and all females in this world will not become teacher who has fix hour 8 :00 to 12:00 job.
Although my daughter was selected for all schools except Amity Noida because I felt like they have isssue with working moms so people need to lie at that time that my kid stays at home with grandparents etc. But we frankly told them that she is going to daycare and when her grandma is here than only some times she stays at home.
Such question disturbed us a lot, for this we are not raising our daughter and sending her to school. In future she also needs to work for her career so what school will build her if their mind sets are like this that working moms don't give time to kids.
Being a working mom I feel proud that I am an example for my daughter that how to be independent and work for our career and family together. But these schools are just opposite of that.
At Balbharti they asked us that what you have taught to your child whatever she respond for questions is result of her good playschool, then I responded her that what I taught her which only a mother can teach her kids not any school.
And asking kids shapes, colours, rhymes, ABC, 123 etc. and giving chocolate to check how child response with thankyou, speaking one sentence in multiple ways to understand whether child understand english or not.
Better is schools should tie up with good daycare facilities and stop asking such questions and make a child
grow in good environment where they wont feel that my mom is working and I am neglected. These days parents give full time to kids despite of all obstacles and work place issues, now people are more aware of such thing and there is no need to pin point such things by schools. Hope they should raise their mentality too as per their school standards.…

igh of relief with the High Court having fixed the minimum age (between 3-4 years) for admission to Nursery, parents in NCR are confused with no similar regulation in their states. While some schools in Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gurgaon are allowing kids between 3-4 years, others are seeking kids between 3.5-4.5 years, while the rest are asking for kids between 3.6-4.6 years of age. So kids eligible for some schools become ineligible for others. Cases in point in Noida are DPS and Somerville which have fixed the age criteria at 3 years 6 months, while APJ and Amity schools in the same city have set it at 3 years. In Gurgaon, DPS Sector 45, Sun City and Scottish High are allowing kids at minimum 3.5 years while Heritage, Ardee, Ridge Valley and Lotus Valley have kept it flexible.Sumit Vohra of admissionsnursery.com, a website helping parents getting their wards admitted in nursery, says, “In Delhi, the DoE has fixed the age criteria. So everyone knows that their kids have to be between 3 to 4 years to get into nursery. However, in the absence of any set guidelines in NCR, schools are setting their own age eligibilities leading to unnecessary confusion. It is especially a problem for first-time parents as they are not familiar with the admission process.”“Most schools are asking for minimum 3.5 and 3.6 years so that the students they get, are mature enough, don’t suffer from anxiety and are more disciplined; but many new schools located in far flung areas are accepting kids at 3 years also to be able to fill up their seats. A reputed educational trust has set different age criteria at its branches in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon and Expressway which is wrong.”Nupur Khandelwal, a parent and resident of Indirapuram in Ghaziabad, says, “I wanted to get my son admitted in St. Thomas school which is closest to my house; but they were asking for students of 3.5 years and my son was falling short by a few days. So we opted for DPS which is further and costlier.”Preeti Dhaliwal, another such parent and resident of Sushant Lok says, “I wanted my daughter admitted in DPS last year, but she was falling short by a month. Ultimately, I had to keep her in playschool for an extra year, something I didn’t want to do at all, and looking forward to getting her admitted in DPS now. I hope there are no hassles now.”…
