With only a week remaining for the closure of nursery admissions, several schools have been flouting the guidelines by imposing an age limit for children seeking admission in nursery. Parents are complaining that they have not been able to fill online forms for nursery admissions, as the forms do not accept age beyond four years which the schools have arbitrarily decided. Schools like Amity International (Saket), Ryan International, Bal Bharti (Pitampura and Rohini) among others, on their websites, have barred admission in nursery for any child who was born before April 2010 which means, a child can be maximum 4 years of age to get admitted. The same age limit is applicable in Tagore International School in Vasant Vihar and East of Kailash also. “I wanted to apply in Amity Saket for my child’s admission. He was born on December 4, 2009 but the school is not accepting my form because he is 4 plus. This is a complete violation of government instructions,” said Anuj, a disappointed parent. “Several schools have made it mandatory that a child must be born between April 1, 2010 and March 31, 2011. This is an arbitrary step taken by schools as no upper limit has been decided by the DoE. Schools are not abiding by the rules and are torturing the parents like this,” said Sumit Vohra, founder of admissionsnursery.com who had lodged several complaints against the erring schools since the commencement of admissions. ‘आप’ नई दिल्ली (ब्यूरो)। ‘आप’ ने आर्थिक तौर पर कमजोर (ईडब्ल्यूएस कोटा) लोगों के बच्चों को स्कूलों में दाखिला दिलाने की कोशिश शुरू कर दी है। कार्यकर्ता अपने इलाके में गरीब परिवारों की पहचान कर बच्चों को स्कूल तक पहुंचाएंगे। इसके लिए मंगलवार को पार्टी मुख्यालय पर 70 सक्रिय कार्यकर्ताओं को प्रशिक्षण दिया गया। पार्टी के एक पदाधिकारी के मुताबिक इस दौरान ईडब्ल्यूएस कोटे के अभिभावकों की पहचान, दाखिले की प्रक्रिया, इस श्रेणी के सर्टिफिकेट संबंधी औपचारिकताओं, स्कूलों की लॉटरी प्रक्रिया व दाखिले के समय से संबंधित तमाम जानकारियां दी गईं। कार्यकर्ताओं को यह भी बताया गया कि गरीब बच्चों को स्कूल तक पहुंचाने के बाद उन्हें अभिभावकों से फीडबैक लेना होगा। कार्यक्रम में पांच स्वयंसेवी संस्थाएं भी शामिल हुईं। पार्टी ने प्रत्येक विधानसभा में एक प्रशिक्षित कार्यकर्ता तैनात रहेगा। उसे अपने विस क्षेत्र में आने वाले चार वार्ड से एक-एक कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ मिलकर पांच सदस्यीय कमेटी बनानी होगी। वहीं, इनके समन्वय के लिए प्रदेश स्तर पर पांच सदस्यीय कमेटी बनाई गई है। इस तरह से गरीब बच्चों को स्कूल तक पहुंचाने के लिए पार्टी के 350 कार्यकर्ता काम करेंगे। 60 फीसदी सीटें सिर्फ नौकरशाहों के बच्चों के लिए नई दिल्ली (ब्यूरो)। नौकरशाहों के बच्चों के कारण चाणक्यपुरी स्थित संस्कृति स्कूल का मामला हाईकोर्ट पहुंच गया है। स्कूल में नौकरशाहों के बच्चों के लिए अधिकांश सीटें आरक्षित करने के मुद्दे पर न्यायमूर्ति मनमोहन ने स्कूल प्रबंधन, दिल्ली व केंद्र सरकार, उपराज्यपाल और शिक्षा निदेशालय को नोटिस जारी किया है। अदालत ने सभी पक्षों से कहा है कि क्यों न याचिका स्वीकार कर ली जाए। याचिकाकर्ता नवया सिंह की ओर ने स्कूल द्वारा 60 प्रतिशत सीटें सिविल सर्विस व डिफेंस अधिकारियों के लिए आरक्षित करने और सामान्य वर्ग के बच्चों के लिए मात्र 10 प्रतिशत रखने के फैसले को चुनौती दी गई है। याची की ओर से पेश वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता सुधीर नंदराजयोग व अखिल सच्चर ने अदालत को बताया कि संस्कृति स्कूल को 1994 से 2009 के दौरान केंद्र सरकार के अधिकांश मंत्रालयों से 25 करोड़ रुपये का अनुदान मिला है। इसके अलावा भी फंड जारी किया गया। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार ने स्कूल को नाममात्र की राशि पर भूमि दी थी, इसके बावजूद स्कूल प्रबंधन ने आम बच्चों को दाखिला देना बंद कर दिया था। उन्होंने कहा हाल ही में खंडपीठ ने आर्थिक रूप से पिछड़े वर्ग के बच्चों को दाखिला देने का निर्देश दिया था। इसके बाद स्कूल ने आम बच्चों को दाखिला न मिले, इसके लिए 18 दिसंबर को अधिसूचना जारी कर 60 प्रतिशत सीटें सिविल सर्विस अधिकारियों के बच्चों के लिए आरक्षित कर दीं। कुल 140 सीटों में से मात्र 14 सामान्य वर्ग के बच्चों के लिए रखी गई हैं। इसमें से भी पांच प्रतिशत लड़कियों के लिए आरक्षित की गई हैं और इस कोटे में भी सिविल सर्विस के अधिकारियों के बच्चे आवेदन कर सकते हैं। अधिवक्ता ने बताया कि उनकी मुवक्किला ने आवेदन किया, लेकिन उसे दाखिला नहीं दिया गया। स्कूल प्रबंधन का यह रवैया संविधान के अनुच्छेद-14 व 21 के तहत उनकी मुवक्किला को प्रदान अधिकारों का हनन करता है। इसके अलावा यह दिसंबर में उपराज्यपाल द्वारा नर्सरी व प्री नर्सरी दाखिलों के लिए जारी दिशा निर्देश का भी उल्लंघन है। इसलिए स्कूल प्रबंधन द्वारा 18 दिसंबर को जारी अधिसूचना को रद्द किया जाए। सेंट मैरी में गरीब बच्चों को दाखिला देने के फैसले पर रोक हाईकोर्ट ने सरकार के उस फैसले पर रोक लगा दी, जिसमें सेंट मैरी स्कूल को आर्थिक रूप से पिछड़े वर्ग के बच्चों के लिए सीटें आरक्षित करने का निर्देश दिया था। कोर्ट ने स्पष्ट किया कि अगर कोई स्कूल उसे प्रदान स्वायत्तता का दुरुपयोग करता है तो सरकार अदालत में आ सकती है। न्यायमूर्ति मनमोहन ने स्कूल की याचिका पर सुनवाई करते हुए शिक्षा निदेशालय को निर्देश दिया कि वह सुनिश्चित करे कि स्कूल स्वायत्तता का उल्लंघन न करे। अगर कोई स्कूल ऐसा करता है तो वह अदालत को सूचित करे। साथ ही अदालत ने स्कूल प्रबंधन को भी निर्देश दिया कि वह दाखिलों के लिए ठोस प्रक्रिया अपनाए। निदेशालय के अधिवक्ता ने कहा कि स्कूल को सस्ती दरों पर भूमि प्रदान की गई थी। इस आधार पर उसे आर्थिक रूप से पिछड़े वर्ग के बच्चों को दाखिला देना जरूरी है। नर्सरी दाखिला नई दिल्ली (ब्यूरो)। नर्सरी दाखिलों को लेकर निजी स्कूलों की मनमानी जारी है। स्कूल अब बच्चे की आयु को लेकर मनमानी कर रहे हैं। कई स्कूलों में तो ऑनलाइन फॉर्म में आयु फिक्स कर दी है, जिसके कारण फॉर्म जमा नहीं हो पा रहे हैं। आलम यह है कि एक नामी स्कूल ने चार साल से कम आयु वाले बच्चों के लिए पांच अंक तक निर्धारित किए हैं, जबकि निदेशालय ने न्यूनतम आयु पहले से ही तय कर रखी है। एडमिशन नर्सरी डॉट कॉम के प्रमुख सुमित वोहरा ने अभिभावकों से शिकायत मिलने के बाद शिक्षा निदेशक और शिक्षा मंत्री को पत्र लिखा है। उन्होंने मांग की है कि अपर एज लिमिट को लेकर उल्लंघन कर रहे स्कूलों के लिए निदेशालय कॉमन नोटिस जारी करे। सुमित ने बताया कि स्कूलों ने चार वर्ष की अधिकतम आयु खुद ही तय कर ली है। इस बारे में अभिभावकों ने निदेशालय की हेल्पलाइन पर भी शिकायत की, लेकिन कोई सुनवाई नहीं हुई। वसंत कुंज स्थित भटनागर इंटरनेशनल स्कूल ऐसे ऑनलाइन फॉर्म स्वीकार नहीं कर रहा, जो बच्चे 31 मार्च 2009 में पैदा हुए हैं। इसी तरह बाल भारती पूसा रोड में भी उन बच्चों के ऑनलाइन फॉर्म स्वीकार नहीं हो रहे जिनकी आयु चार वर्ष से अधिक है। वसंत कुंज स्थित टैगोर इंटरनेशनल स्कूल में आवेदन के लिए भी ऐसी ही दिक्कत आ रही है। साकेत स्थित ऐमिटी स्कूल में तो आगामी फरवरी में चार साल के होने वाले बच्चे का फॉर्म रिजेक्ट हो गया। सरदार पटेल स्कूल तो इससे भी आगे है। स्कूल चार वर्ष से अधिक के बच्चे का फॉर्म तो स्वीकार कर रहा है, लेकिन चार साल से कम वाले बच्चे को पांच अंक अतिरिक्त दे रहा है। कुछ समय से ईडब्ल्यूए प्रमाण पत्र के आवेदन बढ़े हैं। आवेदन के बाद वेरीफिकेशन प्रक्रिया में 21 दिन लगते हैं। आवेदक कई बार गलत जानकारी देकर इसे बनवाने की कोशिश करते हैं। कागजों पर अगर "We'll need some time so, in all probability, we'll start from January 1," says principal L V Sehgal. The Catholic minority schools that had been exempted last year itself, are likely to start on January 1, too. "It's not an us-vs-them situation," argues Ameeta Mulla Wattal, chairperson, NPSC and principal, Springdales School (Pusa Road), "The HC verdict simply restores balance to the system." "It's essential that the parents are not under stress," says Madhulika Sen, principal, Tagore International, and a member of Action Committee's special committee on admission criteria, "We are meeting tomorrow and we'll draw up broad guidelines that'll be suggested to the schools." While all such "suggestions" and "guidelines" are just that and not binding in any way, both Sehgal and The Indian School principal, Tania Joshi state that their criteria will be based on the NPSC's "suggested" guidelines. They have serious doubts about the private school bodies' capacity to self-regulate, are unhappy about the possibility of differing schedules and the reintroduction of management quota, of course. As one parent puts it on an online forum, "Ye jhatka Delhi Government ko nahi saare parents ko laga hai. (This hasn't jolted just Delhi Government but all the parents)." "They are in education but they're also in the business of education," quips Gaurav Bhalla who'll be seeking a seat for his daughter in east Delhi. Most parents seem to agree that the situation merited at least some common guidelines and standards however broad. "There is need for regulation," argues Bhalla. "If there had been transparency, the government wouldn't have felt the need to intervene in the first place." He believes there should be a common platform—ideally regulated by the government—where feedback from all stakeholders can be gathered. He isn't the only one to doubt the private schools' self-regulation policy. "I don't think they can and it'll be the same nightmare all over again," says a parent who'll apply this year. School authorities have maintained from the start that they and parents are on the same side of the nursery battle; parents, simply, don't agree. Echoing the sentiment of many, a parent writes on an online forum, "Last year's guidelines were not bad. Except for transfer and points should [have been] there for alumni and first child. Same calendar for all and same documents... [is a] must." Another parent feels that the government should've been allowed to at least "put caps" on schools' criteria. For most parents, the government's attempts to regulate—however clumsy—was a step in the right direction and the schools' stand has seemed adversarial from the start. At worst, parents feel they've lost. "What else I can say here. Pathetic. The ordeal continues for ...parents," writes one on admissionsnursery.com. At best they are confused. Sumit Vohra, of admissionsnursery.com, further points out that the reappearance of management quota effectively reduces the number of general category seats to roughly half of the total at least in NPSC schools (25% for EWS, 20% management and 5% staff ward) and there are also seats for children with special needs to consider. The Delhi High Court division bench’s decision to let unaided private schools in the city schools decide their own admission criteria may be a big win for schools but it does not mean that the Directorate of Education (DoE) has no control over them. According to the guidelines issued in 2007 — one that the court has asked the schools to follow— the criteria will be finalised only with the prior approval of the DoE. Its decision will have to be communicated to the school within four weeks. The management quota cannot be denied as the 2007 order explicitly allows for it. “It is not as if schools will be able to set whatever criteria they want. We plan to be stringent in checking and will take action against any school setting arbitrary criteria,” said an official of the education department. Wednesday’s decision, however, has caused panic among the parents. INDIAN EXPRESS - Schools happy, parents worried Private schools on Wednesday welcomed the Delhi High Court order refusing to grant interim stay on its single-judge verdict quashing the point system for nursery admissions brought in by the Lt-Governor. “It is a balanced judgment and all stakeholders should now get together for the children of Delhi. At the same time, it is imperative that the government rethinks its policy on nursery because its 2,000 schools cannot cater to all the children of the capital,” said Ameeta Mulla Wattal, principal of Springdales School, Pusa Road, and chairperson of the National Progressive Schools Conference (NPSC). Last week, NPSC issued broad guidelines to 80-odd schools under its ambit along with an admission schedule. The action committee for unaided private schools, the umbrella body for Delhi’s schools, will also hold a meeting to come out with admission guidelines by Thursday. But with NPSC coming out with its own schedule, parents are confused over who will decide the schedule this year, with the Directorate of Education (DoE) deciding to adopt a ‘wait and watch’ approach for now. “We are yet to take a decision. We are still studying the court order and may come out with an action plan in a day or two. If we have to make a schedule, we will do so,” Padmini Singla, the DoE director, said. “It is going to be a confusing year for parents with schools formulating different criteria. Most parents have also expressed disappointment over more than 50 per cent seats being reserved this year for different categories. Topic: As promised by our founder | the erring school have been highlighted in 8 leading newspapers: dmission forms at high prices and asking details of the educational qualifications and income of parents. This is clearly a violation of guidelines laid down by the Directorate of Education (DOE). According to DoE, each form should cost only Rs 25, and schools cannot ask parents’ income and educational qualifications. “Some schools forcibly ask us to buy prospectus with attached forms at very high rates. When I asked the authorities to give me just the form, they refused, saying it is compulsory to buy the form with the prospectus,” said Shivani Gupta, who bought a prospectus-cum-form for Rs 200 from Rukmini Devi School, Rohini. However, an official of Rukmini Devi School claimed that schools have “discretionary powers”. Similarly, reports of forms being sold at higher prices came from KR Mangalam School, Indian School, Lancer Convent Play School and Venketeshwara International School — each costs Rs 500. Maxfort School sold forms for Rs 300 and Birla Vidya Niketan for Rs 350. V R ONE founder Sumit Vohra said similar violations also happened last year. V R ONE is an online forum for parents seeking nursery admission for their children. “Every year the DoE says that action will be taken against schools that sell forms at higher rates. But schools still do it and go scot-free. They earn a huge profit from it. Parents are humiliated if they refuse to pay such high amount,” Vohra said. While the high prices of forms was a dampener for parents, the schools also flouted DoE guidelines as the forms included income and educational qualification for screening children. “This is discriminatory. Screening children as per their parents' income is unfair. Such acts makes it so evident that big schools are averse to the idea of giving a chance to an average middle class student,” said homemaker Shikha Arora, who brought a form from Springdales School. This school asked for income and educational qualification of both parents. The principal of Springdales School couldn't be contacted despite repeated attempts by Deccan Herald. According to parents, schools such as Convent of Jesus and Mary, J D Tytler School, Mater Die School, Happy School and Salwan Public School have also included income and educational qualification slots in their forms. “If needed, schools can ask income and educational details of parents after the admission. Asking for such details before the admission leads to indirect screening,” added Vohra. Other violations of the guidelines also came to light. Schools stopped the sale of admission forms on the first day itself. The forms should be available in schools from January 2 to January 16. “Rukmini Devi School in Pitampura started selling forms since July. They closed the sale of admission forms on Monday. Parents were directed to another branch to buy forms, but they were unavailable. The authorities said the sale of forms have been closed,” said Advocate Khagesh Jha, member of Social Jurist, an organisation working for the upliftment of the underprivileged DAINIK BHASKAR 12 स्कूलों ने उड़ाईं नियमों की धज्जियां कड़े आदेशों के बावजूद 150 से 500 रुपए तक में बेचे प्रोस्पेक्ट्स, अभिभावकों के पेशे व शैक्षणिक योग्यता का भी ले रहे हंै ब्यौरा। भास्कर न्यूज त्ननई दिल्ली शिक्षा निदेशालय के स्पष्ट दिशा-निर्देशों के बावजूद बीते सालों की तरह इस बार भी नर्सरी दाखिला प्रक्रिया शुरू होते ही स्कूलों की मनमानियां शुरू हो गई हैं। नर्सरी दाखिले की दौड़ में पहले ही दिन 12 ऐसे स्कूलों के नाम सामने आए हंै, जिन्होंने निदेशालय के दिशा-निर्देशों का उल्लंघन करते हुए 150 से लेकर 500 रुपए में अभिभावकों को फॉर्म के साथ जबरन प्रोस्पेक्ट्स थोपने का काम अंजाम दिया। इतना ही नहीं, स्क्रीनिंग की मनाही के बावजूद स्कूल अभिभावकों का प्रोफेशन व शैक्षणिक योग्यता पूछने से भी बाज नहीं आ रहे हैं। शिक्षा निदेशालय की ओर से निर्धारित व्यवस्था के तहत जहां गरीब कोटे के आवेदकों को फॉर्म मुफ्त मुहैया कराना जरूरी है, वहीं सामान्य श्रेणी के आवेदकों के लिए इसकी कीमत 25 रुपए निर्धारित है। इसके अलावा, आवेदकों को जबरन प्रोसपेक्ट्स खरीदने के लिए स्कूल बाध्य नहीं कर सकते हंै। एडमिशन नर्सरी डॉट कॉम के संस्थापक सुमित वोहरा बताते हंै कि निदेशालय की लाख कोशिशों के बावजूद बीते सालों की तरह इस बार भी पब्लिक स्कूल अभिभावकों को प्रोस्पेक्ट्स के साथ फॉर्म उपलब्ध कराकर अच्छी खासी रकम वसूल रहे हैं। इससे साफ है कि उन्हें कार्रवाई का कोई डर नहीं है। स्कूलों की ज्यादती से परेशान अभिभावकों का आरोप है कि माउंट कार्मल (आनंद निकेतन) में 150 रुपए, आरडी राजपाल (द्वारका) में 500 रुपए, इंद्रप्रस्थ स्कूल (द्वारका) में 500 रुपए, वीआईएस (द्वारका) में 500 रुपए, मैक्स फोर्ट (पीतमपुरा) में 400 रुपए, सेंट फ्रांसेस डीसेल्स (जनक पुरी) में 225 रुपए, हंसराज मॉडल स्कूल (पंजाबी बाग) में 200 रुपए, रुकमणि देवी पब्लिक स्कूल (रोहिणी) में 200 रुपए, लांसर कांवेंट (प्रशांत विहार) में 500 रुपए, एलकॉन पब्लिक स्कूल (मयूर विहार) में 150 रुपए, फैथ अकेडमी (प्रसाद नगर) में 200 रुपए व जीडी गोयनका (मॉडल टॉउन) में 200 रुपए का भुगतान आवेदन फॉर्म के लिए करना पड़ रहा है। अभिभावकों का कहना है कि बिना प्रोसपेक्ट़्स के आवेदन फॉर्म नहीं मिल रहा है, जिसके चलते मजबूरी में उन्हें इतना महंगा प्रोस्पेक्ट्स भी खरीदना पड़ रहा है। इसके अलावा, राजधानी के पब्लिक स्कूलों पर अभिभावक स्क्रीनिंग का भी आरोप लगा रहे हंै। कई स्कूल तो अभिभावकों से जानकारी के नाम पर उनका पेशा, आमदनी व शैक्षणिक योग्यता का ब्यौरा मांग रहे हैं। पूसा रोड स्थित स्प्रिंगडेल्स स्कूल की बात करें तो यहां भी अभिभावकों से आवेदन प्रक्रिया के तहत शैक्षणिक योग्यता व प्रोफेशन की जानकारी मांगी जा रही है। हालांकि, स्कूल इसके पीछे किसी तरह की स्क्रीनिंग नहीं, बल्कि अपने रिकॉर्ड की अनिवार्यता को जिम्मेदार करार दे रहा है। इसी तरह, गरीब कोटे की बात करें तो शिक्षा निदेशक की ओर से जारी फरमान के बावजूद घर से दूरी के नाम पर इस श्रेणी में भेदभाव जारी है। शालीमार बाग स्थित गुडले पब्लिक स्कूल ने तो इस श्रेणी के तहत भी स्कूल से तीन किलोमीटर तक की दूरी पर रहने वाले छात्रों को 100 में से 90 प्वाइंट देने की घोषणा कर दी है, जबकि शिक्षा निदेशक का आदेश है कि घर से दूरी के नाम गरीब कोटे में आवेदन नहीं कराए जाएं और भी छात्र आए उसे मौका दिया जाए। Hindustan Times Dated 3 dec DAY 1 Parents across Delhi start to line up early morning; many say schools seeking their professional info Though I'll get points just for neighbourhood, I don't want to lose out for lack of trying. Standing in queue since 7am to secure a nursery admission form for his boss's child, Kumar finally managed to lay his hands on one at 11.30am. “The arrangement at the school was adequate, but the queue was long. I waited for four hours,“ he said. Day 1 of the sale of nursery forms saw parents across Delhi either queued up outside schools or making arrangements to get forms collected. At Springdales, Pusa Road and Kirti Nagar, 1,100 and 600 forms for the general category were sold on Monday respectively, while 250 EWS forms were sold. At Tagore International, Vasant Vihar, 370 forms were sold. Alchon International School sold 450 forms. “The long queues are a big disappointment as I qualify only under neighbourhood points,“ said Mahima Pandey, a resident of Rajender Nagar, who has applied at Springdales, Pusa Road for her son. Most schools also have the option to apply online and were giving out forms only for EWS category. “I went to Raghubir Singh Modern School but was told that registrations are online. I wish such information was prominently available on the school website,“ said Anoop Mittal from South Extension II. The first day of the sale of forms also saw many complaints from parents and observers. At Springdales, an objection to the section that demanded information about parents' profession and educational qualifications was raised. According to Delhi government norms, schools cannot ask for such information. “We have clearly mentioned in our forms that the information will not be used to determine who gets the information. This is only for our database,“ said Jyoti Bose, principal, Springdales, Dhaula Kuan. Confusion prevailed over the point system and age criteria. While some schools have opened up the online system, many are selling prospectus for Rs 100 and Rs 500. With point system of various schools being different and leading schools of Delhi giving more points to alumni and siblings, parents feel that it is a long way before their wards can get admitted to a good school. While the judgment of the Delhi High Court on nursery admission is still awaited, schools have opened admission in nursery above three years of age. Riddhi Chorpa (name changed) could not get her daughter admitted to a school in nursery last year because she did not fulfill the required age criteria in most of the schools. This year when her daughter has turned four, she is again not eligible and is overage for admission as most schools are admitting three plus students. Riddhi is a resident of Rajendar Nagar and her son studies in Salwan Public School, Rajendar Nagar. But since Salwan gives only 10 points for sibling case, her chances of getting daughter admitted in the school are very bleak. "Of all the schools in my neighbourhood my daughter is only eligible for two convent schools and no public school," she says as she looks at the notice board outside Springdales School, Pusa Road. "The Springdales School is giving 30 points for sibling case, so here again my chances are very less," she says. The school has put a cap on age limit from April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009. Everybody beyond the age does becomes none eligible for admission. Most of the schools have put a similar age cap and are admitted students in 3 years. For parents like Riddhi, the High Court judgment of January 6 is the only ray of hope. "If the court considers the Ganguly Committee report and makes it mandatory to give admission in nursery at 4 years, only then will my child become eligible for a public school," she says. Confusion prevailed as most schools sold forms from 8:30am to 12:30 pm. “We were not aware of the timing, we will have to come again to buy the form," said parent Sonali Gurai. Guari had come to Mater Dei School for her daughter’s admission. However, many schools have adopted the online system and the forms have to downloaded from the website. The forms for schools including Delhi Public School, Tagore International School, Vasant Valley, Bal Bharti are available on the school website. Violating the guidelines of the Directorate of Education which clearly says that the form has to be submitted with `25, many schools are selling prospectus charging fee between `100 to `500. Schools including Venkateshwar International School, KR Mangalam School, Indian School, Birla Vidya Niketan and Springdales are charging a fee for giving forms. "I paid `500 for the form at KR Mangalam School and `100 at Tagore International. I will fill forms for other schools as well and will have to go form-shopping again. I think I will be spending about `2,000 in just filing the forms," Sanjeev Kochar a resident pf Defence Colony. Another parent Amit Saxena, however, refused to pay for the form. "I told them that the Government says that the form is to cost `25, so why should I pay `500. At Birla Niketan School, they took me aside and gave me the form for `25, while more than 250 parents standing in queue paid `500," said Amit. Further violating the guidelines of the Directorate of Education, some schools have announced that the forms will be available till January 6. St Francis School Janakpuri has announced that the forms will be available toll January 6 and submissions will begin from January 7 to continue till January 12. “This will be violation of the DoE guidelines which says that the forms will be sold till January 16,” said Sumit Vohra of admissionsnursery.com.
