20 schools included in the list will have to reserve 10% seats for the rural kids failing which strict action will be taken against the school authorities.
Moreover, schools will also have to maintain a record book containing the details about the percentage of rural student intake into their respective schools which may be asked by the authorities in future.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer Chandra Bhushan Singh said, “We have sent notices to 20 schools across the city on September 5. We are expecting response from them by September 7 which will bring transparency in our education system. This is done to allow rural kids to be a part of modern learning system.”
Schools that have received notices from Noida Authorities includes Ryan International, Army Public School, DPS, ACC Convent, Modern Public School, Bal Bharati Public School, Somerville School, Central School, Vishwa Bharati, Cambridge, Amity, Father Agnel, Subroz Education Society, Apeejay, VR Education Trust, Khetan, Jagran, Kothari and DAV.

g this intense Admission pressure every year here in Delhi & NCR, it certainly put us in a fix where we have less choices of schools as per our liking and the demand/applicants are too many..In this Forum we parents share our hands on experiences as faced in yesteryears and then discuss with current parents to enable them for an informed choice which may or may not affect the decision taken by them But it certainly gives them a platform on which decision making becomes easier..Ultimately it is for the parents to decide finally keeping the interest of their child in focus and then looking at various parameters by weighing them on the choices in hand That’s the reason I think we should not go after a predetermined mindset of Ranking the schools.. as there is immense information (right or wrong) available which may confuse one and may create an argument (however valid it may be) where one specific school for someone may seem better but for others may seem inferior.Me & my spouse being a parent, was on the same boat in 2 & 4 years back to admit our two kids..when this forum became a helpful hand ...by getting various viewpoints of other experienced parents and thus helped us immensely to decide, looking at the options we had at that time..Friends, pls read all the viewpoints raised here in this forum this year or from yesteryears regarding your choice of schools, visit to the schools personally, feel the real environment there, talk to the parents (who will be waiting there to drop/pick their wards), talk to the kids (if possible) and then frame an informed decision for your choices...Many schools in Noida/Ghaziabad areas are long established and have a traditional pedagogy which is well proven and thus giving excellent academic results consistently. They have ample infrastructure, balance focus on extra curriculars, they keep on adapting to newer trends and have a wide alumni base. These schools may become one set of your choices depending on the main factor of distance from your residence. ( e.g. Noida- DPS Noida, Amity Noida, Apeejay, Somerville, Father Agnel, Cambridge, Vishwa Bharti, Bal Bharati, Khaitan, Army Public School, etc.)Ghaziabad- DPS Ghaziabad, DPS Indirapuram,Amity Vasundhara, DPSGhaziabad Vasundhara, St. Francis, St. Thomas, Cambridge,DLF Public, Bla Bharati, Uttam school for girls etc.) ((Again in traditional schools there are some from well managed chains/trusts/groups like DPSs, Amities, Apeejays...etc.. which can also narrow down your choices..))Some other newer age schools are set up in this area who have adopted an experimental way of teaching based on holistic development of kids and enable them good modern age infrastructure and technology but don't have the backing of many years of academic records ( esp of 10th & 12 stds.)..these schools may form a different set of choice for you. But as has been seen these newer age schools have the fee structure slightly higher than the traditional schools. ( e.g.-Step by Step, Lotus Valley, Shriram Millenium, Kothari, Mayoor, Genesis Global, Pathways etc.) So from approx 38 schools of Noida & 30 schools of Ghaziabad ( pls see the excel sheet in this Forum)..mainly the 10-15 well known schools have the majority of competition going on as most of the parents are opting only for these schools based on their long established information..As a suggestion pls apply to as many schools as you can depending on the distance criteria and block at least one choice ( whatever you get) as any school can become a good choice once the school and the parents together willingly shape the future of the child in a mutual way..(Some of the viewpoints shared about a good school from we parents’ perspective can be found in this discussion thread: http://www.admissionsnursery.com/forum/topics/answers-to-all-questions?id=2660304%3ATopic%3A109776&page=83#comments)
All the best!Bij:)…
shared by you with the parents.
My son is born on 10-Oct-2012, I am looking for a school with overall development and value based eduction, may not be top class in activities but at the same time should not just focus on academics. He most likely would not be eligible to DPS Noida [One of the preferred school] and Cambridge because of age and SBS and TSRM are a bit on expensive side for me. Don't want to consider LVI and Kothari, if I opt for these I would rather pick SBS.
I have already applied for FAS and would be applying for Amity International later today. I would also be applying for Somerville Noida, though chances are very bleak because of distance factor[I reside in Indirapuram as of now and is shifting to Sec 74 Noida by Oct end] Please help me with some of my queries below -
1. I did not get positive feedback about APJ from the parents, it's apparently loosing it over the period of time, class strength is more and school staff is not easily accessible. What's your opinion, should I still consider the school as back up?
2. If my son does not make through FAS, Amity or Sommerville, I am considering Khaitan and VBS as back up? Which one would you rate better and why? Can Sommerville Expressway also be considered, how is it?
3. I did not find much discussion on Mayoor. How is it? At par with Amity? Better than APJ?
4. How would you rate Bal Bharti viz a viz my other choices?
Would be looking forward for your response.
Regards,
Priyank
