I would request all to visit this link created by Umesh and tell what they feel about it:

@Ashish - suggest to block your seat in bloom if they're refunding fees as per DOE policy! Bloom too is a good school I heard. Mount carmel is definitely a better one. However what if your turn did not arrive at Mount carmel? You should have an option right? Many parents who have applied in more than 10/15 schools have not even heard from one so far!
@Waseem - Did you and the friend you mentioned in your previous comment have the same points?
@K Suresh Kumar - thanks for the clarification. I agree with you. The allocation of management seats is becoming increasingly clear!
On top of what Akshat has just mentioned, I am tempted to say, and I am taking this from Akshat himself - there is no dearth of candidates in Delhi so why do schools screen candidates?
Simple - money. Donations. This draconian points system provides an ample facade for schools to carry on with the 'donation' business behind closed doors. What a sorry state of affairs.
Any ideas when HC verdict will come?
@Deepmala, i call Bhatnagar VK on Friday, they said they will call us when to come to pay the admission Fee, and advised me to still check on Tuesday due to HC verdict, soits better to call on Monday before going there.
Why "neighbourhood" should be the only criterion in school admissions:
1. Distance from the school is the only criterion that affects a child physically. No other criterion affects the child physically. Criteria like siblings, transferable jobs, awardee parents, single parent and so on are just discriminatory.
2. If more children are sent to neighbourhood schools, all neighbourhood schools would have a chance to develop.
3. Eventually, people would become "proximity" conscious than "brand" conscious.
4. Siblings would stand a greater chance of getting into the same school as they will also qualify for the neighbourhood points like their siblings.
thanks @PRAVIN KUMAR PRABHAT for your views. I am in waiting list for Mount Carmel and in first list of bloom....and stay close to Bloom in Vasant Kunj.
@ Umesh - I too got shortlisted, called and selected in green field! The way the headmistress conveyed/talked about the entire process, I really doubted on the same thing what you were just talking about on Paul's! They probably screened people basis designation/salary etc!
@shrabani points does not matter it is all jugad...my one friend lives very far from birla vidyaniketan he was called for some counselling along with child for management quota while i live only 2 km away and i was not. is it fair. high or supreme court nothing will change. this point system is all crap.
