@Akshat - totally agree

@Snehal. Solution is simple--Give 5 more days for filing of such applications so that they can be considered for the draw.

@Akshat. I think if the process is scrapped then I think a new process will be needed. The reason is that there may be instances where people may have not applied to schools looking at the various points for various categories. E.g. A friend I know did not apply to Mothers as the only points they had was for neighbourhood. So they decided not to apply. However if the court decides that neighbourhood & lucky draw are the only criteria that will be considered then these parents would have an excellent chance in Mothers. Therefore I think if the process is scrapped all schools MUST call for new applications to make the process fair and transparent.

I agree with Snehal to some extent. The court should have been more sensitive about the timeline. But at the same time I would like to say that even if the current admissions are scrapped, no fresh applications would be needed. Only fresh lists would have to be finalised. Also, new session starts in April. We can easily absorb a delay of one month.

Deepmala and Anu- Please confirm if Bhatnagar Intl is calling everyone for verification. I did not get a call or even receive any letter by post for verification. How much did u both score?

I am all for the changes @Akshat. I would like to thank Mr. Agarwal as well. However I do wish that this had been sorted before this whole process started and now more than ever due time pressure there is a real threat that the current system will continue and also the schools will be able to basically have the cake and eat too! I wouldnt be surprised if there are more instances of schools asking for donations.

Whatever may Mr. Agarwal feel about the confusion created due to his PIL, I would like to thank him and Mr Vohra for atleast taking up the issue and not just be willing bystanders like most of us.
