@ Nupur
Now i know how they do it- thanda and garam parcha, guess schools could really find their way out. I went to only one school for the lottery and now i know why the school teachers and staff were not touching the chits and asking parents to pick chits.
So what next? Wait till 21st or can we do something before 21st like meeting people to try and resolve this?
IST points are not something that was introduced for the first time in this year......it was also there in the last guidelines...even some schools give upto 15 points also...But i failed to understand the reason why people went to court against IST this year only..it creat all this mess.....maybe I feel it is because this year it was at par with alumni points....
@ Risha
This is what is troublesome- children need to go to school because they need time to socialise with kids their own age, being with parents all the time is not healthy for them, the same goes for TV. They need to go to school or any place which regularises their life, teaches them the rudimentary skill of interacting with peers, standing for themselves and also given them time to explore a newer environment and cope with it. And to be utmost frank, gives a little breathing space to parents so they can organise their lives. I really have no clue how schools will return the fees- they also have to pay the teachers and aides- don't what is the way out of this mess.
Friends,
As per these dates of verdict, will schools start their session or any classes would start??
@ Shilpa...I am also of same opinion..increasing seats for IST.
@ Mr. Sapra...I think need of the hour is of practical solution rather than those idealistic or innovative ideas...so as to make the situation further complicated.
@Sakshi
Since this mess in delhi doesn't seem like ending soon, please guide if I should look out for options in noida, faridabad schools and get my child admitted there. NCR schools are still taking admissions but good schools are pretty expensive which would mean I will not have option to opt for delhi school later. Would it make sense to do that or wait for judgement?
@ Sachin .Every system has a loop hole. Distance can also be modified by false rent agreement. Lottery for all, what if my ward is selected in a school say which is 5km and not selected in school which is 0.20 km?????, IS IT JUSTIFIED. ideal system ??????
@ Nandita,i agree with u.after the high court verdict we thought we might get a relief as people were positive but once again group of people interfered.I think increasing 3% seats for the IST could be of some relief to all as surely people who have been selected,have made the fees payment,parents who have left their minority school admissions will file another PIL.I was never in favour of transfer points nor would any delhiite would be as we never get any special treatment either in delhi nor in any other state be it delhi univesrsity or any other educational institue or any kind of jobs no quota for delhi people so why shud any body be given prefrence.since a blunder has already taken place and doing something new wud lead to utter mess increasing some seats for IST this session can be an option.Else only the court can decide what is to be done.
Just my 2 cents on some of the things being said here:
1. Fraud EWS is NOT EQUAL to Fraud IST - because its still within 25% category while additional 5 points of fraud IST took the remaining 70% seats of almost all talked about schools. Had there been a quota of say 5% for IST, although very rightly not there, hue & cry would be much lower.
2. Hail LG for abolishing Management Quota - Back door entries can never be stopped in totality ever, even after finishing the mgmt. quota. (who is checking all the sibling & alumni quota?) by finishing the management quota, it is very limited & hush-hush now. Know at-least 1 child who ll be starting in TOP MOST south west delhi school from back door entry and for the other child's name ll appear in 2nd List.
