Agree with Mark. I guess its the HC which will give out the ruling...But my confusion is that HC was supposed to take the decision basis the seats which will be vacant after all the admissions are closed and so putting a hold on admissions without getting into the details of the case and then allowing the HC to proceed? Also, is anyone representing the DOE/Schools in this case? Because if there is no strong representation as rightly said by many the situation may lead to a big mess.

OMG....the confusion seems everlasting...as i know the case in SC in a double bench so their decision will be final no other appeal can be done against so if IST wins all those 70 pointers who have secured their seat in 1st draw have to compromise and if they loose ,they will also come under 70 points and then they have to wait for the 2nd or 3rd draw of schools....both ways their kids will get admission but what about those 70 pointer who have already taken admission nd paid all necessary fees including books nd dresses as per HC order...till now its just stay but these IST van go further, their is no stopping for them nd what r we doing?....discussing blah blah blah....amezing

The picture would be clear , when we know the complete details as of now ,it only stay by SC.

Any lawyer parent can throw some light  for the the parents  as every one is confused what next .

Judges are very honourable and extremely professional people, A common man can never think in the way Judges think, a Common man can never think of solutions what a Judge can think of easily (thats their job and they are trained for it) Why should IST Parents did- not trust HC Judge, HC Judge did not dismiss IST case whereas he had a clear-cut solution in his mind and hence was working for a solution for IST cases, IS T cases should have trusted and should have kept faith in the HC judge, instead of getting panicky and approaching SC to stay HC in-between.

Sakshi ji
as per new reports & tv reports & what my understanding of it, SC ordered stay , but HC will decide on 16 as earlier, because for a stay for HC order, one has to apply in SC(Which is higher in stature) that is why stay was granted by SC against HC order to start admission excluding IST
I may b wrong as I am not an expert.

when SC ORDERED a stay on admission & reffered d matter back to HC for a decision by 16 april, my opinion is HC would b very cautious & would not want to overrule its earlier decision regarding successful applicants and might also offer some relief to Genuine IST(IF d matter and facts represented correctly) to find a middle path in this mess.
Though I am personally aganist any preference to IST at the start of nursery session, they should b at par with other parents with 70 points. they are not at any disadvandage at this point in time(start of nursery session).
their only valid point on which they r relying is: that when points were given they calculated their success chance in schools and applied for accordingly, VALIDITY OF THIS POINT WILL B DECIDED IN HC.
lets wait for 16th bcause HC judges are competent enough, but they have to give decision on the facts put before them & this is where things can get dis oriented & twisted to suit one particular group.
HOPING FOR GOOD SENSE TO PREVAIL
& PUT AN END TO THIS SUFFERING FOR ALL PARENTS
