Comment by Devanjan Majumdar on April 11, 2014 at 3:51pm: From what I could make out from the news channels is that they have asked for a stay on admissions till the HC comes out with the second part of their decision on IST on 16th which the SC has granted. So ideally nothing to be heard in SC.

Now I was preparing her for d new sch, she doesn't want to Go to play sch anymore. Bt this mess of PIL's are spoiling everything. I understand d concern of IST bt why others should suffer?

Comment by SACHHIN SAPRA on April 11, 2014 at 3:46pm: A benefit was given to IST but that was drawn in the middle and justification given in circular by govt was that majority were fake. This justification itself does not merit scrapping of IST points. If majority of EWS applications are fraud then that does not mean that genuine EWS quota should be scrapped.

I am not a tfr case but I as a legal person can see the gaps in the Govt reasoning in scrapping the IST.Few Hundreds in DPS RKP had claimed distance points even when they were beyond 8 KM but that does not mean that distance croteria should be scrapped.

Changing the rule in the middle is cheating by govt.

Re-draw of all 70 pointers was a saving grace but that was not allowed in appeal in high court.

I AM NOT HERE TO SUPPORT ANY PARTICULAR GROUP BUT GENUINE TFR CASES HAVE A GENUINE GROUSE/CASE.

Comment by dev on April 11, 2014 at 3:45pm: Only applications submission be made centralised and a unique form no. to be issued to each child by DOE... then parent can aplly in no. of schools he want but with that unique application number only... Alumni(If necessary), Sibling and neighbourhood points can be checked by school...other general criteria like IST if included must be accepted or rejected by DOE... by this parents will know how many seats and actual no. of children... once selected centralised list can be displayed and by this no child will be able to waste 2 seats.... and draw will be held for those only left not all....if not completely centralised....

Comment by Suneet Sethi on April 11, 2014 at 3:44pm: Prashant - you are correct that it does not make sense to have IST points at Nursery level but its also true that parents never raised the issue before the lists started to come. its not a fair ground provided to them by Govt.. once done should not have bee undone but Govt. without evaluating the consequences.

Comment by dev on April 11, 2014 at 3:43pm: Now there is stay by SC...i think the requirement was just to decide actual or fake transfer cases that can be easily done through directing IST cases to submit their paper to concerned Education officer of the area they live and Education Officer can give authority letter to genuine cases that can further be submitted in concerned schools...rest can be considered as 70....But....................DoE do want to do anything on its own....

Comment by Suneet Sethi on April 11, 2014 at 3:37pm: Kusum - IST folks dint have the patience to wait for 16th April so they went ahead with SC. they know they are loosing the battle as 30K+ admissions with fees have been completed, however there right and SC in most likely in this scenario will refer back to HC as the decision is pending in HC.

Yes LG is at fault and that is why all are suffering, but this in no way justifies IST cases (Genuine or Fake)

Saurabh.....playing with parents money nd sentiment whoever the person is.....this is a complete crap
