While attending the DOL for Indian & Foundation school, I came across a parent whose child recently studied in Indian school, he told me that he had shifted his kid to some other school, his reason was that he wanted a proper daily routine for his child right from d begining, as he felt that geting up early in the morning & going to school makes the child adjust easily to the daily routine of his life after schooling days. moreover he said that running two shifts from d same premises forced d school to cut schooling time for both d shifts and also affected d quality of education.

Although his overall response for the school was good both academics & ex-cirricular wise

Comment by sunny on April 10, 2014 at 11:45am: Dear Mr VOHRA, infact I've been asked to pay full year fee at the time of admission in March by mount carmel school and now since there has been a gap of more than a month now:the school is refusing to refund any money at all. It is really sad. Really need your efforts in this issue. Best regards

thanks for all your efforts. The fee refund policy is very shady. some schools say it is totally non-refundable (40000Rs), some say that management will decide..... nothing is black and white.
The other area where school is making money is stationary(3000Rs) and uniform(4000Rs-5000Rs).Even some optional things like skating shoes ,etc are made compulsory part of the school kit. they are forcing parents to buy it and deposit to the school before 15th april. If you get a better school after 16th april court verdict, you are bound to loose this 8000 Rs. please see if anything can be done. Thanks.Regards

I had given this point also to TOI yesterday ..fee refund policy revision to 2 months and schools not giving refund.

Being election time ...i think it was not covered (even the article on page 6 TOI is truncated due to election news.)

BUT THIS IS ON MY TOP AGENDA FOR SURE . JUST WAIT AND WATCH (WHEN ...I CANNOT SAY BUT SOON FOR SURE)

First i would like you to thank you for selfless efforts to help parents.

This was the worst year for parents in last 6-7 years.

Some time people have vested interest also as we are fighting against Erring schools.

We are also aware of some fake ids from Dwarka and Rohini schools misguiding parents and promoting their schools ( Having vacant seats ) We have blocked many of them .

But how many Fake id's can you catch in busy season :)

Comment by Pritu Mehta on April 10, 2014 at 11:14am: Also Mr. Vohra, many schools are not following the refund guidelines by DOE, they are not refunding the amount.. my daughter was listed in 3 schools, all three are asking huge amount and not going to give back almost the whole amout.. out of 62k paid yesterday, i ll only get 10500 back on withdrawing my daughter.. please help us out.. many many thanks..
