Krishna, then why sibling, why 8 kms; there are reasons for and against every parameter. So I would suggest lets not start that all over, there has been enough discussions in the past on this forum. Now we should look forward to quick and smooth closure of this deadlock by the SC!
Krishna RTE act does not apply to nursery,KG & 1st class in respect of general category.
New guidelines this year a very remote possibility.
I guess we should all be prepared as Supreme court will first of all emphasis on Right To Education and if that is the case than except for sibling there will be a redraw for all other categories. Because by giving points DOE has taken away this right from small children.
@sachhin sir i am not so much aware of judicial matters .... if your point is true then it is some how giving comform to me... hope with in summer vacation the judgement come out and when summer vacations are over ANd in july all kids will go to school
from the looks of it, there are two possible scenarios. 1. IST is restored, with strict scrutiny by school/DOE, and subsequent restoration of 1st list. then a draw amongst 70 pointers for remaining seats. 2. if IST is not restored, a fresh new draw inclusive of all the candidates (including IST) looks imminent. this will lead to cancellation of all previous draws.
the orientation, uniform/books selling is done by mostly those schools which don't care about the rules anyway, they may hold some sham draw and then select the old candidates only.
@ Nupur Mathur, I believe Delhi has also been designed on the "catchment" basis. All authorised colonies have 3-4 private schools and 1-2 government Sr secondary & 4-5 primary schools. So ideally, there is no dearth of schools in the city. But as some wise folks at this forum have pointed out, we want to send our wards to "top, good, branded & some other adjectives" schools. Now, the second issue is that of unauthorized colonies, most of them being densely populated with limited or no infrastructure, including education & healthcare. How can one set up a school for a colony that does not exist on papers? That is the problem here!! We have been paying a hefty education cess on anything we buy, but has anyone bothered to ask where is that money being deployed, as clearly no one wants to send their kids to state schools.
@neha maam .... plez can you elaborate what is the meaning of "thanda and garam parcha"
