News Trends

1 Parents applied mostly in Neighbourhood Schools and were happy getting admissions in Neighbourhood/New/Lesser known schools and many took it very positively which never happened in last 4-5 years and did not crib about not getting in so called "Branded Schools" as they are aware all old established schools were Dominated by Alumni/ Sibling criteria and now believed its the parents that makes the School and not vice-versa...also studies till Grade 1st are more or less equal in all school so they can shift later.

2 This year we saw many parents (only in South Delhi) getting selected in more than 2-3 Respectable /old established schools ( earlier very few parents had this privilege) so we expect more list coming in mar as many seats would be vacated. Parents without admission should wait as these seats would be vacated (SPV final list on 15 Mar but for other schools many parents will decide latest by 10 Mar)

One Major Reason was Removal of RAA and other Discriminatory points by DOE ( Show Cause notice issue for the first time to old and established big school was also a new trend setter)

(Many parents in South Delhi who could not procure even a single seat posted these messages.. these messages were posted earlier also by few other parents also)


"Its my humble request to parents not to secure more than one seat in several schools, as schools are not aware that hw many seats r going to be vacant and they display limited seats available. so that many parents r still running everyday gate to gate of school as their kids's names has not come up. so plz .....plz........plz make up your mind and stick on one school AUR DUSRO KO BHI CHANCE DIJIYE. plz........... all kids r innocent, these small kids don t even understand wht is point system, wht is lucky drw..."

SO IT IS REQUESTED TO ALL THE PARENTS TO DO THE NEEDFUL ASAP

3 Most affected were east Delhi /North Delhi parents ..where there were limited Schools as West Delhi Parents had option of Dwarka Schools. Many parents could not Procure seat even in single school.

4 Due to Some Schools offering (Partial online forms like Springdales etc where parents could download the forms and save time/money resources and did not had to stand early morning in serpentine queue that too in winters.) THE NUMBER OF FORMS FILLED INCRESED BY 20% ..ITS WAS ABOUT 6000K forms for single branch ( For Gen cat ) AND WE EXPECTED THIS YEAR NO OF TOTAL FORMS FILLED BY GENERAL CATEGORY INCREASED BY 8-10% (Approx 4.25-4.5 Lakh in total for more than 1 lac seats)

SO FOR SINGLE SLOT THE NO OF APPLICATIONS VARIED FROM 30-100 (APPROX) depending upon school to school (All figures validated after our Surveys)

5  Some School took full advantage and posted on website/Prospectus that fees would be non refundable

BUT

"EMS"The biggest sufferer are the children who belong to "Economically Middle Section" (EMS)(Term coined by me), where the non alumni/sibling parents do not have money and/ or contacts to purchase the management quota seats and are also not poor enough to fall in EWS

Many Established schools did not display points/points break up against DOE GUIDELINES -

Rest like every year Many Schools Dominated the show but Donation was openly asked and Management quota seats came in open ( President of school association only validated it) and school found innovative ways of taking donation without getting caught.
