Hi, can anybody tell me the result of (5% girl child quota) draw held at K R Mangalam (GK2) today .

Transfer cases should be at par with the normal people seeking admissions, a majority of the 70 point kids are being left out of the lottery.  This is disheartening.

I agree, what is the point of giving any points for transfer cases right at the beginning of the academic year where all should be equal. It only makes sense to make reservations for those transfer cases / allocate additional seats when there is a transfer case mid term

I think there should not be any point for transfer cases in nursery admission as this is the beginning of the session and everybody is having the equal opportunity of admission. What is the logic behind this? And if the govt wants then fix 2 or 3 seats for transfer cases and rest should be available for general including transfer cases as they do for Girl child.

I totally agree with Eisha and Smriti Dutta.  Lots of kids with 70 points will be left out this year, despite living within 2 kms of good schools.  I think we should only have the neighbourhood / distance criterion with slabs.  Having said this, what about those who do not live in the vicinity of good schools?  They will also protest. A permanent solution is to have more schools, which is clearly possible in the long term.

DOE also seems to be running away from the actual problem/issue being faced by parents.. Instead of issuing the notification on transfer cases(which is hurting the most) .. it issues a clarification on distance criteria which is clearly understood by almost 99% of the parents & schools.. now IT SEEMS NO RELIEF WILL BE PROVIDED BY DOE/MOE/CM/LG/... feeling dejected...

Please not only clarification bt total scrapping of transfer points is required.... we need a step in that
