Because of this criteria, we are losing out even in the schools which are walking distabnce from our homes. This is a criteria that can be easily mismanaged!

yes i personally know someone who has forged the birth certificate and also the transfer certificate

Yes I agree with your view point even I am also losing but I am sure schools are verifying the documents and then only finalize the points as per my understanding. Does anyone come across of any incident of forgery?

Just came across this discussion. I am a genuine case of Transfer, but am in complete support of doing away with this point criteria. Its silly because if a school strictly follows its neighborhood criteria, the child of any type of transfer case would still get admission. A transfer case would rather be looking more diligently into a residence close to his child's school for stay rather than people who have been here for last 20-30 years.
Also, when I was shortlusted in a school nearby, some parents asked me how come because they too had a male first child and were in immediate neighbourhood. And realising I got listed for transfer points, i felt it was highly unfair to them almost like cheating them for no fault of theirs.

Parents forging the Transfer points and school accepting the same is that we are motivating the corruption at the base level.

And does this mean - that those who have got their first child admitted reserve the right to get their second child as well - by hook or by crook - this is completely unfair for the General category students - be it a Boy or a Girl - 85% of the parents in the list I**I*N SCHOOL belong to transferrable job - 90 % out of those are staying in Delhi for n number of years ..... THIS IS FORM OF A CHEATING as each parent is signing an indemnity ....... this is a huge setback for children in General Category especially first born children - again boy or girl both are suffering .......

I think schools should admit their mistake , ratify the same & reissue the list : as sibbling & transferrable job both can not get points together - if someone's job was transferred with in last 6 months - they can produce a valid change of address, affidavit or any documents - I think those who are defending this irrational point system between Sibbling & Transferred case - do not understand the point that we are trying to make here .............

Stuti,Pls see the list , from last 3years all selected /waitlisted more than 100 parents  are  having both the points sibling / Transfer :)

THEY have changed the definition of transfer point " IS YOUR JOB TRANSFERABLE" .

Anyone  can easily get letter from his/her boss stating the same .

Stuti, There is single  DEFINITION OF TRANSFER POINTS , SCHOOL CANNOT MANIPULATE OR CHANGE IT.

Please see last year article in which Mr Ashok Ganguly (Ex-Chairman CBSE who derived point system) had also concurred with Mr Sumit Vohra ,when he had raised same point against Indian School and few other schools Transfer Points
