1 Distance for 3 yrs old to commute
2 student teacher ratio for personal attention (if possible)in formative years

Rest if not satisfied always can change when child is in 1st grade onwards ...

Comment by rukmesh on January 31, 2016 at 9:32pm: I agree. A reasonably good school in proximity to one's home is what each parent should be happy with. Parents should not be ranking schools like 1,2,3..20,21,22.. etc. At most they should be classifying into 3 categories max like A (preferred),B (reasonable),C (better than nothing, and try to get into A or B inlater years).

Comment by Rajendra Sharma on January 31, 2016 at 8:21pm: As per my experience ,parents should not worry about if their ward does not get admission in so called best school because criterion differs to judge best school. If a child finds a place in reasonably good school can perform well in higher education or gets selected in good professional college. In addition to role of school in life of a child, contributions of parents in child education is about 25 per cent, of school is 25% and child is 50% in early stages of education. So please keep cool for future of your ward.
