Hi
I have filled in for Nursery at Indus, went for our interaction, which was very good, happy ,a two way discussion and relaxed.
My child had a good time. They observed him and actually let him be.he was even allowed to sit in an activity class that was on because it caught his attention. He enjoyed himself. Also,My child is a very social child, always in exploratory mood,happy- to- go -to -school variety, even when he went to playgroup at 2+He is In L'avenir right now where every learning is practical, through a narrative.Observation, thinking and experimenting is encouraged.I wish to know if there are any INDUS parents on the forum, would like a feedback from them.I did like the place. It agrees to my parameters but a first hand experience will be a better guide
thanks
Ashima

Thank you very much Mr Sanjoy!
Thanks MR Ankur Jain
I appreciate Your feedback. It confirms that we who have liked Indus are looking for a School that builds a bond for life with the child (confirms the pinion that i formed) and grooms for every aspect of life.I amt hankful once again to everyone who has replied..It so confirms my gut feeling about the school as I saw it and felt it!
Hi Ashima,
My son studies in Class I in Indus World School and has been there since Pre nursery. First of all I would like to emphasize that no school or institution is perfect in all aspects. There are some areas where Indus might score lower than other schools and there are some areas where it might score much higher than other places. One has to see as a parent what areas do you emphasize on.
The areas which me and my wife emphasize are openness and warmth in the school mentors. We found that in abundance in Indus World School. Second aspect is the room given for the child to see, explore and then learn and not become a "rattu tota" in his academics. IWS allows children to learn concepts through stories and activities which engage the child and not learn by rote. That is why we decided to put our child in IWS.
Other aspects of having air conditioners in the school or jazzy offices or minor other things didn't count in our evaluation criteria.
Regards
Ankur
Hi Ashima, My daughter is now in KG and she joined indus from play group. What we noticed is she enjoys going to school & enviroment is very friendly which allow chindren to learn, think and explore.Mentors never put pressure on children & teaching method followed is very good. School always intract & involve parents in decision making process related academic area.So we felt Indus is a very good choice
Positive feedback from existing parents, but all the parents are not aware of this school ,can anyone of give me basic background and details of the schools for the benefit of d parent community
i mean USP, which board it follows where exactly is primary branch
Hi Ashima, My name is Aparna Puri and I have two children at Indus. I have moved from New Zealand a year and a half back and had a very clear view as to how I wanted my children educated. I was not in the favour of my children going to school because they have to and hating it. I found the atmosphere at Indus very relaxed. My son who joined year 4 did not know Hindi at all, but not once has he been under any pressure about it, we were not asked to take any extra coaching or teach him extensively at home so that he can match the other students. Inspite of coming from a different country and environment my children adjusted very well. Indus was exactly what I was looking for my children as the student are not under pressure but are guided to perform to the best of their ability and encouraged to do the best by tapping their creativity with the resources at their disposal at home, which is something. I am a happy Indus parent as my children are not only being educated in the subjects which they have to know but also in life skills. We as parents are involved with our children education through various workshops held and are encouraged to make meaningful contribution. I have yet to come across a more relaxed one to one parent and teacher contribution as I have seen in Indus.
My children are happy to go to school and I am happy sending them there and honestly I would not have made the big decision to make the move from New Zealand if I had not found Indus world school.
Dear Ashima, Our son is now in Nursery at Indus World School and I'll be happy to share our feedback. We had a similar experience right from the first day where a mentor evaluated him, was very good to see how much attention was paid to the child and my wife and I had not written so much as we did in the form in a long time ;-). He's now been at the school for about six months and loves it! Especially his mentor, who we notice has taken a very keen interest in all the children and what they are good at with a view to encouraging them. For us the important things were that he be comfortable with the school environment and be encouraged to learn, think and explore, and as far as we are concerned the school has done a great job of doing just that! Certainly he's still very happy to go to school which we're very happy with... While the school is small it has a large heart and seems to be preparing him well for the world ahead....
