2. Admission Criteria:

Registration:
General Category - The registration will only be done through ONLINE Form w.e.f. Thursday, 18th April, 2013. Any application related to admissions submitted before 18th April, 2013 will be considered as null and void.
EWS Children - Manual registration form can be collected and submitted along with required documents at the respective Schools - (Class III DPS VV) DPS Vasant Vihar, E-71, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi 110057 and (Class III DPS EOK) DPS East of Kailash, F-Block, East of Kailash, New Delhi-110065 or (Class VI DPS RKP) DPS R. K. Puram, Sector-XII, R. K. Puram, New Delhi- 110022 from 18th - 21st April 2013 between 10:00 am to 12:00 noon (Click here to download EWS Form)
Minimum Age: As per the minimum age mentioned in the table above.
Eligibility: Original Report card showing completion of the previous class.
Mode of selection: Classes III & VI will be as per the following point system.

Transfer Cases Valid documents related to International/National Transfer will be required. Transfer cases after 01st April 2011 will be considered. Delhi/NCR Transfers will not come in this category.		05

Note:

[2A] In case of a TIE, there will be a draw of lots for all the candidates with the same number of points.

[2B] Every year, we have more applicants than number of seats available. Therefore, if a candidate is unable to secure a seat, it is no way a reflection of his/her calibre.

3. Document Verification process:

If the application is under consideration as per the above point system, the parents will be asked to get the following documents for verification.

a)	Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation
b)	Proof of residence: Passport / Registered Lease Deed / Electricity Bill / MTNL Bill / Water Bill / Electoral Card/Aadhar Card Note: School shall have the right to verify the residential address through home visit.
c)	In case of Sibling, a copy of Fee Bill issued by the school office for the Academic Session 2012-2013 or 2013-2014
d)	In case of Alumni, a copy of the passing certificate of AISSCE (Class XII) issued by CBSE.
e)	In case of First Born Child, an undertaking, signed by both parents, must be submitted as Certificate of Authenticity.
f)	In case of applicants with Minimum Special Needs (a child, who can be mainstreamed under inclusive education with the available medical facilities in the school), a copy of Certificate of Disability from a Medical Officer of a Government Hospital.
g)	In case of Single Parent, legal documents (Death Certificate and Undertaking of Single Status) will be required.
h)	In case of International/National Transfer of parents, copies of valid transfer documents (Transfer Order/Release Letter, Joining Letter and other relevant documents from competent authority/ authorities in support of Transfer) Transfer cases after 01st April 2012 will be considered. Delhi/NCR Transfers will not come in this category.
i)	Report Card showing successful completion of previous class

Note: In case the admission is confirmed, all relevant original documents are required to be shown at the admission counter and the self-attested photocopies of the same must be submitted.

4. Schedule

a)	Commencement of Online Registration	Thursday, 18th April 2013 to Sunday, 21st April 2013
b)	Scrutiny/Verification of applications for under consideration cases	Monday, 22nd April 2013 to Tuesday, 23rd April 2013 (before 02:00 pm)
c)	List of Shortlisted Candidates and list of the candidates under draw of lots* will be displayed on the school website (link will be available on this page only)	Tuesday, 23rd April 2013 (after 05:00 pm)
d)	Draw of Lots (only in case of a TIE – with the same points) Venue: AVH, Delhi Public School, Sec-XII, R. K. Puram, New Delhi [General Category Applicants of DPS R.K.Puram] Class 6: 10:30 am [General Category Applicants of DPS Vasant Vihar] Class 3: 11:30 am [General Category Applicants of DPS East of Kailash] Class 3: 12:15 pm [EWS Category Applicants of DPS R.K.Puram] Class 6: 02:15 pm [EWS Category Applicants of DPS Vasant Vihar] Class 3: 02:45 pm [EWS Category Applicants of DPS East of Kailash] Class 3: 03:00 pm	Thursday, 25th April 2013
e)	Admission List – Classes 3 and 6 will be displayed on the school website	Thursday, 25th April 2013 (after 05:00 pm)
f)	Admission Formalities (to be completed at the admission office of DPS RKPuram)	Friday, 26th April 2013 (07:30 am to 01:30 pm)

5. Declaration from the parents

a)	Parents will certify that all the information provided by them is correct. If the information is found to be incorrect or false, their ward shall be automatically debarred from selection / admission process and appropriate action will be taken accordingly.
b)	Parents understand that the application / registration / shortlisting does not guarantee admission to their ward.
c)	Parents accept the process of admission undertaken by the school and will abide by the decision taken by the school authorities.
d)	Parents accept that in case of twin children, in a situation of a draw of lots, the name of both will be considered on a single chit. Either both will be selected or both will not be considered for admission.

Note:

Loading the localities on map may take little time - so please be patient.
You may find names of some localities, which are not listed in the areas C and D in one of the Junior Schools. The reason for this is that such localities have been assigned to the other Junior School.

(School Transport is available only on existing school bus routes)

Would appreciate if parents/ AN can throw light on which of the following schools is better in the following areas - Academics, Extra Curricular, Overall. If one has an option for the same next year ( for KG) , which one should one choose ( if distance is not a criteria)
