Hello All !

I am just another parent anxious to get his ward admitted to a good school....

I am not sure what future has in store for my kid, whether she will get into a school that will aid and groom her to be a nice human being.... I don't know.....

The schools which I know are good have given such criteria that my numbers just do not add up.... though I have applied / applying for almost all schools that I know in the neighbourhood.... about 20 of them (phew!)..... Or should I add a further few.... :-)

All through I have not been able to visualize how we landed in this quagmire. Are we as a nation not responsible for Right to Education that has been promised in our Constitution. Yet this right has been marauded over the years and I do not know by whom and where to go for resolution..... There seems none in sight....

I must thank Mr Sumit Vohra and team for creating this platform which is guiding us (taking the liberty on behalf of all parents) at this hour of dilemma and uncertainty. I cannot begin to imagine the predicament of the unschooled / uninitiated fellow countrymen of mine looking to admit their wards .... Sigh....

Just a few queries from someone Informed in the matter:

1) Has anyone got a figure of the number of prospective students trying to get admission in Delhi Schools this year (specifically South Delhi)....and the number of seats available for them....

2) What is the criteria for selecting student for afternoon schools ? Is the quality of education and all related things equally good as morning schools?

Just trying to figure out my kid's chances and improving them I guess.... :-)
