I am going through very tough situation at this time in respect of admission of sons under the sibling criteria. School in which my elder son studied is not giving me the neighborhood points, though earlier the school has given me the full neighborhood points at the time of admission of my elder son with some addon points like father / mother education and prof degree and job points. At that time the school has asked to fill neighborhood from there list , i selected the neighborhood which was near to my adress.My elder son got selected from the draw of more then 250 children with same points. School  bus also comes to my place from the time of my sons admission.

 

Similar manner i filled up the form this time for my younger sons slecting the neighborhood from the location list which is near to my place. As mine was sibling case i was getting 20  points as per rules. I was very much sure that i will getting the admission for my younger sons also. But when the List of the school was out they called me for verification and at that time they told that my area in not under the neighborhood as per guidelines issued from DoE. They didn't listen to me and said we are doing as per DoE rules. On the same day (13-02-2014) i have met the Education (ACT I ) people and given in writting my grievance to Hon. Min. Of Education. They understand my concern and also said that for sibling case the rules doesn't say anything clearly.

 

DoE rules doesn't clearly say anything that distance is a must criteria to be fulfilled under the sibling case. Sir , if i am not getting the benefit under sibling case then i will be no where. As all the near by school comes up with 1500 + people for draw for about 20 seats.

 

In all FAQ on the DOE site said that parenst will be confortable if there children are studying in the same school, as regarding the studies and visit to school.
