We parents lose our sleep collecting information, feedback of top schools, standing in long ques to get forms, preparing ourself and our child for admission interviews, and paying loathes of money ...for what? To fulfill our dream of sending our child to the best school in town and it comes a huge relief when they get selected. A matter of pride for us right. But do u really think even after doing all this ur child is safe in the most reputed schools? I doubt... In 2010 we had 2 such incidents as most people must be aware of it. Obviously after finding them guilty these schools terminated their services. But aren't we horrified listening to such news. We are preparing for the interviews that will be asked to us while taking admission but do we have the guts to question the school authorities about what actions they are taking to avoid any such mishaps in school. School is a sacred place, a place where our child spends most of his day hence it should be the safest place for them. I just hope schools r more conscious and do a thorough background screening before hiring ny employee be it th principal, teacher or a sweeper. Contract employee should not be hired at all.
