DELHI School Annual fees

Hello All ,

I need to know is there any Guidelines from DOE to school regards to Annual Fees Or it is totally up to the school to decide whatever amount they can charge on the name of annual fees.

I know there is one school in Rajindra Nagar which is charging high annual fees which almost 7 times higher than Monthly fees and moreover they are not taking that amount as one-time annual fees. It has been added with quarterly fees which are also not been told to parents with clear communication.

Is there any other school who is really charging high fees in name of Annual fees.

And would they be eligible to charge Annual fees for next session as well

I am really looking for guidance on this.

I have fees structure available with me but. My doubt is to know whether delhi schools are liable to charge 60k annual fees ,where tution fees is just 9k rs ..Has DOE made any guiline that annual fees cannot be more than some percent of tution fees.
If there is no guideline then schools are free to charge hike amount cN be up to 1 lakh or more in the name of annual fees

I was under impression that this has been under control of DOE.But it is surprise to see that Delhi Government has not looked on this part and allow school to do their wish.

Private schools have always strongly resisted any attempt of regulation of annual charges And, almost all the time they have absurd arguments like fee regulation will lower standard of education.

I completely concur with you. The least they could do is to communicate it to the parents in am effective manner, put them under various heads like exam fees, sports fee, science fee, xyz fee....
