Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2024-25

Admission Dates | Admission Criteria | Compare schools | Fee Details

Dear Parents,

I was on this forum in 2016 during the nursery admission of my son and was immensely benefited. This is the best platform for information and knowledge sharing on Nursery Admissions in NCR. Currently my son is studying in UKG in a CBSE school in Delhi

I m back because I have started contemplating switching to an International curriculum school next year when he moves to I Std.

Would appreciate if members could share their views on what sense does it make purely vis-a-vis the relevance of the curriculum. Does it even make sense to switch or is it advisable to wait untill V Std.?

I am sure the fee is higher in these schools but not sure how much..

The following TOI article may also be relevant for all..

Thanks

Rakesh

Parents are requested to share inputs.

Choosing a school for child is up to the parent's choice. If you are planning to relocate abroad or plan to send your children abroad for university in future or want them to have a global education (if expenses are not an issue) then International curriculum provide an excellent choice. International curriculum too has advantages since it is research based, inclusive, knowledgeable and flexible one.

Else CBSE curriculum provides students with a high level of quality education designed for securing a good higher education for students within Indian universities. CBSE board syllabus is the one that is followed by a large number of entrance exams for the most prestigious engineering and medical institutes in India. We can expect a change in pattern or new curriculum design in near future.

Curriculum depends upon the learning process only and the main goal of education should be to develop the socio-emotional skills into learning for future success in academics and personal outcomes.  It is advisable to wait upto class 5th or later too for future course of action.

Thanks.

I also wanted to understand the examination/evaluation pattern in international curriculum. aka CBSE Board exams. Also share if anyone knows how easy or difficult it is to switch back to CBSE/ICSE in case required in future.

Also, specifically on the Cambridge board (CIE), as per Cambridge website, there are only dozen schools in entire NCR who follow this curriculum. Is this true or there is something else i dont understand.....

Rakesh
