I guess its just 40-50 seats for draw of lots , but they confirm a batch size of 125 students, rest dont know for what ?

No.. they are sending mail to those also who are not selected for draw.

is it mandatory to be physically present for the draw? As in will they put in the chit only for those physically present there?

1. One of my friend last year couldn't go to attend draw but she got selected and came to know when school released the list online. No idea of this year better u call them and confirm.
