St. Thomas Dwarka is conducting verification of documents between 13-15 January 2020 and asking for all documents in original as well as attested copies along with copy of Birth Certificate duly countersigned by Registrar of Births.  How to get that signed by Registrar of Birth?  Birth Certificate is already available online then why they need it to be countersigned?  Please guide

Parents facing same issue are  requested to share inputs.

As online BC does not need any sign or countersign.

Hope the affidavit of first born child created by notary in court will be acceptable? Please confirm

Yes, Rest it is minority school and do don't come under DOE.

Better double chk with school.

Rest parents are requested to share inputs.

Not sure mam but I don't think it's a minority school mam. They don't have religion specific points even. It's a franchisee of Mandir marg. Management is also different.

Isn’t it already signed by Registrar (Birth and Death)??
Why document verification now ? I see only few schools calling parents to come for document verification. They can/should do doc verification at the time of admission only I’d child name come 1st list of their school.
Let’s say I am denying for doc verification now, will school remove my kid name from lottery of 1st list ?
@Sakshi mam please suggest

SANTOSH

Many schools do document verification before 1st list to chk whether parents have given right details or not, so that  only deserving candidates should get selected for lottery or  1st list.

Yes you must go for document verification else schools will remove name from lottery.

Can anyone pls suggest if i want to withdraw admission from 1st class in st thomas then hw to withdraw the fees??

If you have an online birth certificate issued by MCD, you do not need any signature. School accepts it. It's valid and legal. I had same, St Thomas didn't even ask a question about it. They know it, that MCD has started issuing birth certificates online.You can take a color copy and laminate it. To add, even black and white is fine and totally acceptable.

To add more clarity in 2018 MCD had already started issuing birth certificates online. So even if the birth year is 2016 but if you have got the birth certificate issued in 2018 or later high chances it would have been issued online. The online birth certificate has a QR Scan Code that school can easily scan and verify from MCD site that its valid or not. You can try scanning it yourself with any QR reader app on your mobile and see ;) So relax and this should be least of your worry!

To add even more clarity, school writes countersigned by registrar for the birth certificates issued offline ;)
