We welcome your thoughts.

Perhaps, those should be a feedback for Education Ministry to disallow any management quota . As long as it is there to prevail, such demands will be made or offered or fulfilled. The transparency we have in General Category among Open seats with D.O.E. guidelines should be there for all 75% seats. And then comes the vital question, the fees v/s infrastructure and facilities school impound to make, will it be able to accommodate all income sections of the society (for instance, will all the parents be able to envision getting their wards into NiBS for that matter, just to ensure what level of investment you would ask from parents as fees) or will you urge only like of Ambani's / Birla's and had it been done by Govt in suitable manner, there would not be such private schools.

It is a debatable topic, we should not get into unless it is raise to Ministry (we all are tax-payers and deserves to get this sought after by governing body).

Even though my integrity doesn't allow me to donate (personally), I cannot say the same to other parents, who so ever is donating they are not donating not for their ward only, it is going to be availed in school by several other pupils (and that's why when people go for such thing, they are considerate about to which institution they are offering to by valuing it stature and the cost will be materialized in facilities than in pockets), just that they get a assured seat as return of favour and that too which is reserved for respective management of the school.

There's no point urging the parents for Management discretion seats, in my view as I mentioned above. It is an open choice permissible per current law of the land. It could be parents or some messiah to some kid. Just that parents owns 1:1 responsibility.

You need to bring a change, bring it into Ministry notice and not in general mass who is responsible to make sure new generation gets its due foundation timely. If you witness any General Open seat getting sell, please bring it over and urge parents to not comprehend this.

Be noted: I too against donations, but can you question school management not to ask for donations, and on what ground you will object them. Sir/Ma'm - There are no laws over management discretion.

I think we must see the entire picture rather than getting emotive and should address the right faction. Parents are not right medium, it is administrative and governing body we should raise the matter at.

There can be separate Discussion Thread on separate forum for this. For now, we should assist parents for required guidance for their raised queries.

Thanks!

ABHISHEK SRIVASTAVA

I concur with you and we are against Donations.

Dear Parents,

Its my humble request, please try to avoid taking admission via donation, one parent can afford but all can't afford. In case your child didn't get admission in any of the top schools, dont be disheartened, you can still go to many good schools like sachdeva, DIS, RD Rajpal etc and request for admissions. In KG you can again try in some of the top schools. Also my observation, all schools are almost same with just few pro's and con's. At the end how we behave with our kids at home matters:)

Thanks, Just a suggestion from my side.

@Aditi Garg - On a lighter note, co-incidentally both the schools are refurbishing/repairing their school front building :-) (if St. Gregorias, Dwarka you refer at)

Coming to answer your query, you need to think based on what would you be going after, is it for mere blocking a seat or you going to change the school later or for long term engagement, which would become significant factor for you. Because, among the two, MBS provides better attention and facilities to kids till early classes, however, academically with motivating education in higher classes St. Gregorias currently beats MBS.

I have no clue about St.Gregoria pre-primary wing in Janakpuri.

Thanks!

Thanks,

Would urge if someone else also help me compare Nirmal Bhartiya with Dps
Comment by Hitesh on January 26, 2020 at 7:20pm

@Amit -

I know many whose children study in NiBS and VIS10 and SVIS. Hence the review. DPS i don't know anyone personally whose child studies their so I can't provide insight for that.

Thanks hitesh for such detailed insights. This shall really help. May I request for a similar comparison with Dps

Also in which class your child is in Nirmal Bhartiya

@Amit - There are lot of things I can write about Nirmal Bhartia but I will start with -

1) INTEGRITY AND VALUES - The school sets an extremely high standards in terms of moral values and ethics. They teach their kids the right moral values that will help them become a good human being which is most important. This shows in the respect each student has towards their elders and towards their juniors. Yes you read it right. They are extremely respectful and graceful. You must have also heard NiBS never takes donation that is also because of the kind of moral standards they set for themselves. They are genuinely there to teach and love their kids.

2) THE LOVE AND THE CARE - They love and care about each student studying in their school and its like a close knit family where parents and teachers work together in collaboration to make way for Childs exponential growth. Also the school gives personal attention to each child. They know inside out of each child, their strong points and where they need improvement.

3) EXPERIENCED TEACHERS AND EXCELLENT ACADEMICS - The teachers are extremely qualified with thorough and innovative teaching methods. Concept is given more important than finishing the topic. Strong academics and children are conceptually strong. Practical knowledge given. Real world knowledge is given to children (Like taking children on nature walk and teaching them about sun.. air etc etc. Project work is done from nursery (age specific projects).

4) EXTRA CURRICULAR AND HOLISTIC GROWTH - The school is known for holistic growth of their children. Students take part in various sports like swimming, table tennis, basketball, football etc etc Add to it clubs like cooking club (Actual chiefs come to give students training, chess club for enhancing overall thinking abilities and strategising)

5) PARENT TEACHER COLLABORATION - They keep parents and their students as a family. Once child takes admission, from there on then they take child as their child as well. Parents are actively called for discussing child's growth by teachers apart from the regular PTM's so that to work in collaboration with parents to make child succeed. Training is not only given to children but also to parents. They give presentations to parents on many things to explain them topics so that when student goes back to home, parent knows what to teach and how to teach.

Yes their fees is a little higher but so is the value, the trainings, the coaching everything they are providing to students. Truly investing on children. Also to note, they will not ask for single penny throughout year apart from fees. Its not like other schools. Be it annual day or any thing from art, craft whatever be it.. school provides it. Never asks any money from parents. Such strong are there values.

In the end their is so much more I can write because I know well.. but all I can say is its truly a home away from home for students. They are doing things right and in a right way hence the ranking of 6th in Delhi.

Thanks Snehil, appreciate the response.

Can I still know any specific reason why is Nirmal Bhartiya placed above Dps ? Also my criterion is studies; push towards child’s engagement in activities; discipline; co curricular activities as focus on English speaking
