Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2025-26

The admission process at Somerville is very ambiguous, complex and non-transparent. they never publish the list of selected candidates ever! So the lucky ones get information only via email/sms. One would never know the number of seats in Nursery neither the final intake!

The Principal is a nice and very gentle lady in her demeanor yet admission process is so so centralized that she alone takes the interaction session and decision to select or reject. so unlike other schools in Somerville their is no panel of teachers to evaluate the kid or parents.

For reasons known to the school only on several occasions they pick kids from localities quite far from the school ignoring those who live closeby! so 3 km range is just a catchword.

I my view the video call in the evening with kid is a mere process to just see the child, I dont think its a qualification round so dont worry and be very natural in your interaction with the kid.

In my opinion, Somerville is doing a stringent filtering based on applications received where 2 key parameters are distance from school and Noida residents. Only a select few qualifying on above are called for interaction. That is why you can see there is no application fee unlike others. Further, the ones called for interaction have a very high chance of selection unless something is very peculiarly observed. This is again my personal reading. Overall a very well planned processing compared to others and they have a reason to call parents to school also.

Prakriti, Cambridge Noida is sending out emails/sms to the parents if the child is shortlisted. generally They send out the email in 2 to 3 working days after interaction.
