I agree with Payal, I had same experience

Hi Sakshi,

Got the pleasant surprise of being the 'first featured parent for Gurgaon for 2021-22', just a short while back. It was quite unexpected. I am humbled. Thank you to you and the entire team.

Equally well deserved too.. always chipping in to guide anxious parents that too unconditionally :)

Payal

You are doing wonderful job and you deserve it :)

Right. Doesn't Shri Ram have the same environment and issues? Including the teachers some of  whom come from wealthily families.

True.. even i have heard that most kids in shri raam belong to the affluent and rich. Parties in farmhouses is a norm, expensive goodies on birthday's for the entire class is routine which may create unsolicited pressure on the parents from middle or upper middle class..

I think same goes for scottish high as well..

Payal can enlighten us here..

The word 'affluent' could mean different things to different people. To define in terms of the class, Scottish high is a decent blend of middle and upper middle class, with quite a few kids from the middle class. I have many middle class friends whose kids study there. Shri Ram, on the other hand, is more inclined towards having more of upper middle and upper class kids. Also, parties in farmhouses could be a norm for some, if at all, but thats not the majoritarian view for Shriram (atleast not as far as i know). I have many friends (all working with Corporates), including my immediate neighbours, whose kids study in Shriram and I am not aware of any of them ever going to farmhouse parties like that. Have found these kids quite well mannered, respectful and with a grounded personality. As far as parents succumbing to unwarranted pressure is concerned, it also depends on them, as to how much do they want to go with the flow (if at all there is a flow). I, for one, would not let my kid indulge in something which goes against our ethos.

It should allay all your fears keerat :)

Thank payal for the thoughtful and valuable insights.. aptly worded again..

We stand no chance for the top 3 Shri ram, SNS & heritage as all are 12-15 kms or farther.. so might possibly go for scottish although the fee is on the higher side and not sure how swift will it be for the child to switch from IB style of learning to ICSE after 5th standard, that's my only worry..

Ashish, exploring to shift your child after a couple of years to some other school of your choice, if deemed fit, could be a punt that you can take. But there would be many sailing in the same boat as yours :)

Right...

Dear All, I think Payal has summed it up very well.

Shri Ram Aravali and Scottish High have proven track record ( i have few doctor friends whose children are studying in both the schools) Holistic and Academics wise.

Kunskapsskolan lacks it over all.

But even Shri Ram Aravali and Scottish High lacks transparency.

How can you give 25 points for essay to be written at home for 10 days.

Who decides the points ???

Scottish High lacks transparency on admission process also and changes criteria when it backfires.

Hope it helps !!

Dr Juhi

Very valid points :)
