Hi Aastha... When have you had interaction with LOTUS VALLEY? We had an interaction today but have not got any response after that..did they offer you seat the same day?
We got mail from them next day. They will call you and then mail

Hi Sakshi,

Which is most sought after DPS or LVIS?

Ashish Grover

DPS Sec 45 is more sought after than Lotus valley with proven track record and was established in 2002.

LVIS was established in 2011.

Incidents can happen in any school, but repeated incidents as shared by parents(this year and in previous years)and unethical approach by school staff makes Lotus valley less sought after.

Is DPS Sector-45 result out?

Unable to see any updates on the website.

DOL for Nursery would start at  9.30 am.

Last year DOL results were posted on school website on next working day.

Whenever school posts results on school website, we would post here and broadcast.

Thanks Sakshi.

School informed that list would be posted on their portal on 14th Sep at 6pm.

Thanks for helping parents :)

Dear Parents,

Posting my query on this thread, as well

My daughter made it to The Shri Ram School (TSRS) shortlist. She also made it The Heritage School (IB). We are keen for her to take the IB/IGCSE curricula and therefore need to decide between TSRS and Heritage. TSRS follows ICSE curriculum till grade 5 and option to take IGCSE+IB from grade 6 onwards. Heritage has IB in the beginning and option to opt for CBSE in grades 6,9 and 11, if we want. TSRS of course is generally considered to be the better school among the two, by most parents.

I would be grateful for your views on:

1. For development of child's life skills in primary years, which curriculum is better- ICSE or IB? Or does it really matter in primary classes?

2. Does ICSE inculcate the habit of rote learning even in primary classes ( till class 5)?

3. How easy/difficult is for an average child to transition from ICSE to IGCSE in grade 6?

4. How easy/difficult is for an average child to transition from IB to CBSE in grade 6/9/11?

5. Any advantage of Heritage over TSRS, apart from the fact that the former follows more acceptable CBSE board?

Look forward to your views. This could help lot of parents like me.

Parents are requested to share inputs.

Hi Sandeep, congratulations, first of all. the notion of TSRS being considered better than Heritage is no more the reality today. The same was the case few years back. Today, it's the opposite infact. IB is more focussed on holistic development with a focus on lifeskills and is a rigorous curriculum compared to ICSE and CBSE. The methodology of teaching concepts for IB is majorly through experience while the same can't be said for ICSE. So, rote learning does happen at TSRS beyond a doubt. Specific to TSRS and Heritage, Heritage focuses on honing the child's skills through extra curricular activities while the child is at school, while TSRS does not offer such allied activities on campus. First hand feedback of TSRS parents is that the child needs to be sent for various skill development activities outside of school involving a substantial time and effort.

Moving children between boards might require reorientation, both for the child and the parent. Each child being different, some adjust and some others struggle. My suggestion would be for you to make the choice of the board and the school now. You may look at changing both in the future, only if there were any compelling reasons. Hope it helps.

Sandeep Lakhanpal

Pls share the fee details of TSRS whenever you get mail as they send mail within 2-3 days after results are announced.
