with this new system, children born in april/may will be 7 by the time they start session in class 1. it is such a waste of time and years.

My daughter will be 3 in feb 24 that means by the time she will be 5 she is entering class 1.

As per NEP 2020 the age cut off for 3 plus should be on 1 st June . But the schools are keeping cut off at 31 st march. So children born in April and may are at clear loss coz even by NEP they should be admitted in 24-25 session . Which they will not be able to if age cut off is 31 march. Can we do anything about it?

This criteria needs to ne implemented from next session, however, if one is taking admission within this year he/ she shall not be included. Many of the schools are taking admissions in pre-schools this year to breach that guidelines

But if for pre schools the age cut off they are taking is 3 + as advertised in dpsn then its as per Nep . The child is going to be 6+ in class 1 unless they take 2 plus in pre school.
My kid is may born and his 2 years 2 months now. If the cut off for 3 + is 1 st june then I should be filling forms for pre nursery right now. But I with march cut off he is not eligible to fill. So when he ll enter kg he ll actually be 6 plus by June 1 and eligible for class 1 though he d be in kg
