Parag, we both r working n our daughter stays in a day care as we have no body at home to take care of the child. We were asked abt this, n we told them she would continue to stay in a day care, in case she is selected in amity. But we were nt selected. Though she answered all questions asked by the teacher.

My wife is a home maker.

I have no reason to believe that any school will decide on factors like if a parent is working/non working... Amity/APJ/DPS or any other school have students who are from Single Parent family..

Its just that we form our own opinions..

I see too many confusions about Selection Process. I believe its every thing included.. Parents/Child/Working/Non-Working.. and yes LUCK.

My Case, God knows what Happened but as soon as my child sat with the teacher - he wished really Loudly Good Morning... (The only thing I had told him before I entered the room was Papa will give you a new Color Book if he speaks loudly inside and answer all questions). He was asked "how are you" and he responded loudly "I am fine. Thank You". It was loud enough for all the 6-7 teachers in the room. There were three teachers with other set of parents as well. Me and My wife were shocked too. The Teacher asked my wife - tell us something abt your son. My wife dont know why confused and said he is very SHY. She immediately contradicted that you Child does not look to be shy as well. In Between what ever was asked to my child - he was answering very loudly and the teachers talking to us instead of paying attention to us kept looking at my son. We were asked no more questions. They just kept talking to my son... and in the end we were asked to go. My Son even Picked the Toffee on his own and I thought my Wife saying our son is SHY and my son picking the toffee on his own and dancing/running around would make me loose Amity.

Well.. we were selected... All i believe is.. how your kid behaves plus LUCK is what happens there as no one judge a parent in 2-3 minutes of talk.

I am an MCA by qualification & home -maker .. had v.good interaction on 16th sept but we arent selected :(

Many people are suspecting both parents working as reason of non-selection. But by reading this group it appear otherwise,

I would like to know if there is anybody selected in case of non working or even called for interaction on these dates 16,17,18. If so please post your qualification.

udit bhai.. i have applied many schools  but not selected in APJ and DPS......by luck only..it is amity  that we are successfull...dont loose heart...life is much more than this.

Dont loose heart.. I will suggest you GIIS .. and may be down the line after 3-4 years if the school doesnt grow or expand upto ur satisfaction, you can keep trying other schools of your choice. Seats are opened every year in all schools... Just a matter of luck i feel...

@UDIT, dont worry, there are still options like Khaitan, father agnel which are near sec 62. Manav Rachna faridabad has excellent reputation in faridabad and they have open new branch in Noida sec 51,very close from sec 62 (i also live in 62. I also could not clear 2nd round of APJ and Amity ...my APJ interaction was good and Amity was so-so)
