On an average parents apply to 20 -25 schools ( many apply in more )

@Lavi: I understand your dilemma...because I have been in your shoes last year too.
Although I suggest you to not to leave any stone unturned, but 90 schools seems to be very large number. I even doubt there would be so many schools in your radar. Ideally you should cut short that list to around 20 schools on the basis of distance, child:teacher ratio, extra-curricular activities and if you have any other preference or so.
When done with shortlisting of schools, You can then go and start checking polling for their feedback in your network, so that you have that list sorted in your priority order.
At last wait for the Dday....and fill the form CAREFULLY with patience...you would get at least 15 days or so to fill & submit those forms.

Hi lavi, I am a last year parent and Pankaj has explained in so much details
about the selection criteria of schools. Do follow this advise. It will really make
your life easy.
Filling 90 forms are kind of unrealistic and you can also tap schools in Vasant Kunj.
Do fill out Pggs form too. I know few kids going to this school from vacinity.
Rest stay tuned and keep your documents ready and also keep scanned copies of documents
on your computer as some forms are online and will ask to upload the scan document.

Hi Lavi, I am in Vasant Kunj.
1.Please just follow the advise by shortlisting the schools of your
choice as Pankaj mentioned in an excel file.
2. Go to each school website and see the facilities they offer so that
you get some idea of the school.
3. Keep your paper work ready ( photographs, Internet banking for online
payment, scan all documents)
4. One most important thing I did was I went to meet the principal of my Choice of
school so that I could understand their padagogy, their admission process. This is upto you
if you want to do or not. Basically I understood that school like parents who are prepared in advance .
sometimes it does work in a favour ( of course the school doesn’t give admission but know you if you visit )
My case was little different as my son has special needs and I went to the school of my
choice to understand the documents and padagogy for special need kids.
School had informed me about the process and I was able to do my documention on time.
I was also lucky that my son got admission in that school through a fair and formal
process.
