As DPS RK Puram, had got around 9,000 applications. According the education experts, there are lesser chances of admission for parents having 70 points in draw of lots.
"Yes, those who are in 70 points category will not even have a chance event to go for a lottery. Point 75 category and above will be in face off of lottery. So my chance is over for DPS," said Shamshad Ahmed Khan, a parent.
According to a detailed analysis for the junior branches of DPS R K Puram, admission nursery expert, Sumit Vohra said, "No chance of admission for parents having 70 points as both the junior branches in Vasant Vihar and East of Kailash got 216 and 180 seats respectively against the application crossing more than 6,000 applications."
However, schools like Mt Abu got 1,900 applications against 140 seats for general category and 2500 application in EWS category against 35 seats, "Five are the sibling cases who will get the benefit of 20 points among the applicants, added Principal at Mount Abu Public School. Most of the schools like Springdales got 7,000 applications against 173 seats and school had received more than 1,000 application against 120 seats.

नई दिल्ली (ब्यूरो)। स्कूलों के फॉर्मों के विश्लेषण के बाद जारी आवेदकों की सूची ने अभिभावकों की टेंशन बढ़ी दी है। जिस तरह से स्कूल सूची जारी कर रहे हैं उसमें नेबरहुड के 70 अंक लाने वालों के दाखिले की उम्मीद कम ही बन रही है। अब तक का ट्रेंड यही बता रहा है कि 75 तक के कट तक वाले को एडमिशन का चांस मिल सकता है। हालांकि वेटिंग लिस्ट में नाम आने पर शिफ्टिंग का दौर शुरू होने पर उम्मीद बन सकती है।
नेबरहुड के 70 अंक निर्धारित होने के बाद आवेदकों का बढ़ना तय माना जा रहा था। जिसके कारण कट ऑफ में उछाल की संभावनाएं भी की गई थी। पांच फरवरी को आवेदन प्रक्रिया समाप्त होते ही स्कूलों ने आवेदकों की संख्या व अंकों के साथ सूची जारी करनी शुरू कर दी है। जिसमें इस बार का ट्रेंड कह रहा है कि 75 से ऊपर वालों का ही दाखिला संभव है।
एडमिशन नर्सरी डॉटकॉम के प्रमुख सुमित वोहरा ने बताया कि दिल्ली पब्लिक स्कूल के वंसत विहार और ईस्ट ऑफ कैलाश की शाखाओं की सूची से कुछ हद तक स्थिति साफ हो रही है। दोनों ही शाखाओं में कट ऑफ 75 तक जा रहा है।

There are many duplicate entries of parents who have got more than 70 points in dps vasant kunj list. Guess more seats would be free for 70 points draw after verification of their documents. Also some of us will make it for the waiting list. Keeping my fingers crossed....

some parents are smart enough to register more entries to increase the chances in lottery.. had it been lottery on 75 points, they could have get more doubled their probability in lottery ...but now if duplicate entries are there in 70 points...the same should be informed to school..so that they can either disqualify or delete the duplicate entries... otherwise in lottery they will get unneccesarry advantage in lottery...

So much in the name of FAIR PRACTICE ! The DPS Schools are flooded with applicants having more than 75 points, thereby the chances for kids having just 70 points are almost NIL ! And I m sure, this will be the case in most schools.
So, where do parents of first/only child, who hasnt has a 'transfer' or 'alumni' case to their credit, go ?
Adding to the woe are cases of fake 'transfer' certificates and counterfeit EWS cases...
How can you deny innocent 3 yr olds the right to gain admission, because of these 'unjust' reasons ???

I think the criteria are highly fallacious. There should have been staggered neighbourhood points. Also 25 % reservation for EWS is too much. I am surprised to see some of the seemingly well -to- do parents who came in a car queing up in EWS line. It is very frustrating for highly educated parents who have first born male child to get admission in a reputed schools in this scenario.there is no incentive for parents education. Those parents who toiled hard to learn to get to a good position will actually have to send their kids to a second-rung schools. Now a person staying beside a good school is equivalent to a person staying 8 km away at the periphery(both gets 70 pts) and thereby the probability of selection goes down dramatically.The govt schools need to be strengthened. Pathetic ..... I hope mr LG reads this and do the needful

It is also highly possible that FAKE transfer certificates could have been produced by parents working in a pvt firm; AS POINTED OUT.A boss in a pvt firm can definitely give a certificate claiming transfer of the employee if it is going to benefit his employee and is unlikely to harm himself. The real problem is people working in Government services where it is all black and white because the signing authority may lose his job.DISGUSTING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sakshi, can u pls. clarify chances of parents with 70 points in Springdales or Bal bharti. Will 70 points be considered for draw of lots in these schools?
