I think Somerville is generally rated higher by people as its a christian missionary school and people in general prefer such schools in anticipation of a more cosmopolitan kind of environment.

VBPS on the other hand is a school that would also focus on value education but their belief system and extra curricular activities might be leaning more towards Indian traditional system (I think). Which system is better? Its a personal call.

I dont think they differ much in terms of academics and discipline.

Both of them are neck to neck in terms of their performance in 12th boards for last many years.

Vbps seems to be located at a better location than Somerville but it wont matter if Somerville is closer to your residence.

Somerville is slightly more expensive than vbps I think. Plus you need to consider loss of fee deposit in vbps. You may ignore this point in case you dont mind paying extra for something you really value and actually end up finding in Somerville over vbps.

In the end, its a personal choice and you need to figure out the parameters that you value most and then you will be in better position to compare these two schools.

In our case, we didnt even bother to attend interactions for other schools once we confirmed our son's admission in vbps as it fulfills all of our requirements.
