Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2024-25

We had DPS interaction last year for my kid. They took the kid to a separate room (without parents) and one teacher sat with the kid. It was more of a work station with different items present. So child had to sing a rhyme, do coloring, identify colors, identify pictures, putting beads in a string, replicating a pattern, some activities to test the grasping power of the kid, some to test the analytical skills of the kid. Then after around one and a half hour, they sent back the kid. Then we waited for 1 more hour and it was turn for principal interaction then where around 7-8 parents and their kids had princi interaction on a round table. This lasted for about half an hour. Result came after one week and we got selected :-)

totally agree Sumit.

That's why I like Vishwa Bharati Noida(my elder one goes there) more than DPS because they have started points based admission and the results are very transparent unlike DPS where shortlisting criteria is a mystery.

For us, we didn't get DPS call for my elder daughter 3 years back but got for the younger one last year. It's very strange for us also.

Can you plz tell us more about VBPS. I HAVE FILLED UP THE FORM What next will be the process and how is the school ........I mean they focuses on overall development of the child or only academics..

Hi Smriti,

VBPS will declare results in school and also on their website with clear transparency that which student is selected from which criteria - means how many are from sibling case, from faculty ward, etc. That's how they declared last year. Then parents will have to go and complete the admission formalities to secure the seat.

Since my elder daughter has been going there, so I can say the school is very good. Teachers take care of children very well, their studies , their tiffin whether its finished or not, whether they have brought healthy food or not. School gives overall development of the child in terms of studies and lots of extra curricular activities also. Another good thing is they don't ask for money now and then for this or that activity. Which I find irritating in DPS.

Hi Monica, The interaction started with a short welcome note from princi and the junior wing head. Princi had application forms of every child sitting there.

Then every parent had to introduce themselves and give a small description of your child, why u r opting for DPS and anything else which you may like to say.

Princi asked some questions during the parent intro and was writing some notes on our forms in parallel.

One thing I observed during that interaction session was that don't over say anything. I saw some parents giving examples of their relatives studying in other DPS schools but princi's counter questions left the parents stuck. Just be normal and be yourself.
