Hi Shipra, the main reason for selecting SFS was proximity, being good in academics and discipline, value of money and its fame/reputation. We were in dilemma about Amity V6 and DPS I. Found Amity V6 to have good gentry and infrastructure but heard from many inclusing Sakshi that academics wise SFS is better. Also, Amity V6 is not that good as its Noida counterpart is and it was farthest from our place - about 6-7 kms. So that's why we ruled it out.

Now coming to why we didn't choose DPS I. The main reason was that we heard many negative reviews about it. The parents whose wards are in DPS I themself told us not to opt for this school. We found school to be behind money only. Tell me which school asks for Rs 3500 as registration fee, not even new age ones. Which school asks for 4 PDCs towards 4 quarter fee in advance. This was quite evident if you must have attended their interaction. We also found principal to be quite rude and arrogant. All their advertisement about school seemed marketing gimmick to us. In nutshell we couldn't found value for the extra money that we would be putting in DPS I. Despite having better teacher child ratio, we came to know that they don't take good care of kids.

The only negative in SFS was their poor child ration in LKG and UKG, about 45 kids with 1 teacher and maid. But this would be similar to DPS I from 1st onwards. And we can probably overcome poor ratio by giving extra attention to our child. After all, schooling only contributes about 30% in child's growth while rest 70% is parenting.

Moreover, we feel that if needed in future, we can anytime switch to DPS I, but switching to SFS is not that easy.

Those our our personal thinking behind choosing SFS. But it doesn't apply to all. You can have your own criteria and priorities. After all, most of schools are more or less same, none is perfect and none is worst. It all depends on your perception.

Hope this helps and good luck.
