Nursery Admissions in Delhi NCR 2024-25

I know that you all might be in worried/tension/confused for getting admissions for your little ones.
Last year I had gone through the same phase.So thought of sharing my experience and learning.
My kid was born n 12 Jan 2012 and according to criteria of 31st March 2015 he was just 3 years 3 months.
So depending upon this criteria my kid was not eligible for some of good schools like Father Agnel, Somerville, DPS, Viswa Bharthi .. to name few.
But was eligible for only those schools where age criteria was " kid should be 3 years as on 31st march 2015".
I applied in 6 schools and my kid got selected in 4 of them.
I applied in ApeeJay, Khaitan, Cambridge, Amity,Bal Bharthi and JSS.
And my preference was Amity->Cambridge->Khaitan->Apeejay->Bal BHarthi->JSS
In apeejay they call you as soon as you submit the form that is first come first serve and result will be declared after 1st round for
all of them are done. First round includes two teachers interacts with you and your child they will ask your profession
general things, will ask your child about the prototypes that they have i.e animals, fruits, colors, vegetables and all.
For second round they will give you a date and interaction will be with Principal and he will quietly observe your child.
They call you and inform you if you are through.

in cambridge the interview dates given according to the Form submit dates.
In Cambridge one teacher will interact with you and child and ask questions like which color dress he is wearing, which fruit he likes most.
who all are at home and they declare the result by publishing the list of candidate selected in whole.The result of Cambridge comes very late when almost all other school are done.

Amity -This was bad day for me as I had Cambridge interview at 9.00 in morning and Amity at 11.00 on the same day, my child was
bored of these till that time when our turn came in Amity.
They asked him what fruit is drawn in paper, then they asked him to color it and simple questions.
The senior teachers will ask you questions about your profession, your child bad/good habits, how much time do u spend with them.
what do you do when they get angry/stubborn.

Balbharti- it is completely on luck as the process is lucky draw and my luck is never good.

JSS -its the same process that is followed in Cambridge

Khaitan : Here you will be given a questionnaire to be filled and your child we taken away from you to a separate room and interviewed.
Once that is done you along with 20 group of parents will be interviewed by Director/Principal/Senior teachers in a hall.

Suggestion would be submit Forms on different days if time allows, so that you can avoid two interviews on same day.

Result in JSS get declared very early, I selected Khaitan because Cambridge result and Apeejay came very late and last date for fees payment in khaitan was before that.
The fees of ApeeJay is the highest of all these.
followed by Amity then other are almost same with JSS the least.

I am happy for my son as it was smooth process and not that complicated as I thought it would be.
It would have been more smooth if my wife was with me during the entire process as because she was onsite for 4 months.

Guys don't run behind every schools. Prioritize your schools

Based on distance, if you select a good but far away, in my opinion there is no sense in making your little one travel long distances. But yes then also people go for Gensis, Shiv Nadar, JBM that's personal choice based on school reputation/results/overall development based on eligibility criteria In my opinion student teacher ratio and yes transportation facilities Infra structure

I am pretty sure that each one of your child will get admission and that too in good schools. What my suggestion is that don't go and fill forms for each and every school.

First of all, I would like to thank you for providing all the information at one place.. Such a wonderful site :)

I am seeking admission for my kid in Nursery 2017-2018. He got selected in Bal Bharti. Just received the list.

But we have other schools with higher priority.

DPS indirapuram

Amity Noida- Scheduled on 17th August for 2nd interaction

Father Agnel

But Bal Bharti has asked to submit fees by 19th . And by then none of the above schools process will be over.

I am highly confused to what to do. Could you please guide

We did not get any email from DPS Noida and status is still shown as Shortlisted only. Please let me know if anybody has got email or status got changed for them?
