Preparing for shift to South Delhi

Hi,

We will be shifting to Delhi in May, 2012. We are planning to stay around Lajpat Nagar area. My son will be 3+ in May, so I need to plan for Nursery admissions in 2013. I need your help on following:

a. Are there good schools around Lajpat nagar, and there names?

b. My son is in play school here, do i need to put him again in play/prep school? if yes, kindly suggest the prep schools around Lajpat nagar.

Join a South delhi group on this forum..that would help you get real insights ..I believe best south delhi schools are in east of kailash area ,GK which should not be far from your place

There are several nos of good schools from South delhi in the excel sheet. You may download and explore. You should apply all of your chosen one and see if you have enough points and luck in lotteries.

Gaurav, your son will be eligible for admission in nursery for session 2013-14 starting from April2013, the process of admission will start end of yr 2012, so till then u can admit ur son in a play/prep school. Tagore International School (east of kailash)Bluebells International School (east of kailash) , The Indian School (lajpat ngr) , Frank Anthony School (moolchand), South Delhi Public School (def.col.), summerfields school (kailash colony) are few which nearest to Lajpat Nagar. There are few more in south delhi - Check the excel sheet for the name of schools.

Thanks a lot for your help! My job is in Noida (Sector 16A). I have choice of taking residence at South Delhi or Noida. The major factor will be school for my kid. Any help is appreciated for choosing me the area (South Delhi Vs Noida) based solely on Schools and probability of getting admission :)

Noida also has good schools. But its purely your choice and your decision. Do a bit of research (by visiting few schools) whenever u come to Delhi/Noida.

Also, join specific school groups in this forum to see last year's discussions, can give u some clarity.

agreed. With my experience, we would suggest to stay back at noida as noida have very good schools and admissions are not so difficult as we see in delhi...people from delhi are opting to move to gurgaon or noida for their children schooling now a days...
