Form Dates | Admission Criteria | Results | Fee Details | List of All Schools
I would like your comments on this issues. In Europe and America, kids are not allowed to go for study before 3.5 years but in India all it starts at 2 years. It is wise to send such a tender child to school when child could not develop sufficient immune system. I abstained from sending my child from play school for various reasons including cost also which is not necessary. I have come to know that at the time of admission in nursery, schools counts on play school points. Do all the schools play school points criteria. My baby is exceptionally talented and she is grooming well at home in the company of her mother who is house wife.
Kindly suggest me whether I have taken a good decision for not sending my baby to play school.

Dear Umesh,
I don't know where you got your information from but teachers at Mother's Pride are graduates, many have also done NTT (nursery teacher's training course). This includes Shemrock because I know the principal of Shemrock Faridabad and her qualification too as well as their student quality :-) :-)...my son studied in Oxford Kids east of kailash, again a playschool with professionally qualified teachers (my son is what he is through their hardwork) and they have now received accreditation till class 5th from CBSE and is developed on school land for your information.
I am sending my son to Magic Tree House ... they are the stand alone branch but still they perform well.
m happy :)
Fully agree to you. Most of the child experts, proponents of play schools, finance experts, engineers, doctors, scientists, economists, politians have never been to a play school and we have enough competition for our times. I saw in Julia Gabriel, Saket where they start admitting kids of 6 months, which seems such a farce.
I see no other advantage other than the fact that it provide an opportunity of same age group to the children of nuclear families.
1. All these so call brain development, motor skills development will anyways happen with age and he will any ways become more observant with age and exposure.
2. Child will learn and celebrate festivals when he goes for regular school.
3. A beow 3 year is too young to even understand the festivals.
4. Even if child has spent time in play school, I have seen kids crying when admitted to big schools.
5. And these play schools typical have either the same or similar toys as the child will have at home and with the kind of fees these play schools charge, you can actually create a toy shop at home.
Hi Anurag,
I don't think so it is necessary to send kid in Play school but now it is trend in India to send kid in PLAY school so at the time of admission, some schools can count it but do not worry if your ward is grooming well.
There is no need to send a child to play school. Play schools DO NOT DO ANY THING. They donot take any ownership. I know many people who have faced problems with these schools and the surprising thing is that NOBODY listens.
Shemrock, Eurokids are specially 2 schools which sucks. They only know how to make money. Child doesnot learn anything there.
I have put my daughter in Shemrock east patel nagar. Whatever we have taught her before she joined the school, she lost all the knowledge. They have taught her only 3 poems in the whole year.
Eurokids, Rajinder Nagar - The center head is an illitrate. She couldn't even speak english properly. They have so many children in their school and the teachers there are not even graduates !!!
All in all, these schools sucks. They are only making monney.
I think taking feedback against names would be the best one to decide.
Sorry, but do you work in a play school :)
Umesh, you are absolutely right that many playschools are into minting money but you can't put every school in that category is it? I myself got my child admitted to Mother's pride & then shifted to Oxford Kids because I felt that their location wasn't safe (money wasn't the criteria here) as well as they didn't have enough space for grooming kids. I think every branch of such playschools is different. Shemrock, Amar Colony is built in a small flat and is pathetic but Shemrock Sarita Vihar is good as mentioned by one of my friend who's daughter used to study there. Again Shemrock Faridabad is good. So, probably it's different for each branch. You need to find the one that is best for your kid. All I can say is that my child benefitted from a playschool and could get a place in a good school. So, I'm all for GOOD playschools!
Agree here, the debate that has started here can be more of branch specific.
We all are deviating from the theme here, is it useful to send a child?
My opinion is no, as me and my wife spend a lot of time with our kid. People who do not spend time should send their child. Children who are dependents on maids for their day to day stuff - I highly recommend then to go.
People find a place to park their children somewhere.
I know people who have admitted their child at the age of 20 months just because both of them were working.
With all due respect, please spend time yourself and you don't need a parking slot !!!
Yes, I completely agree with you here...most parents have started using playschools as parking slots for sake of their career!!
Agreed ,
for child as small as 18 months do not require play school at all but a happy and learning home .
Why everybody is in so hurry to put them in school - if parents have time a lot can be learnt at home and that would be remmembered by the kid for long
The more your child interacts with others (outside family), the more extrovert he becomes..which will ultimately be beneficial for him in the long run. No place for introverts in today's society...the world is a cruel place...more cruel to introverts :-)
