Nursery Admissions Guidelines 2013-2014 Analysis for parents - FEW POSITIVES

Dear Parents

The schools have been given full autonomy for admission criteria /point system

But parents should know

1- If you see point no 2..it says First List and Waiting  list will come by 15 Feb- This does not mean all schools will come with their 1st list on 15 Feb but schools can come early also with 1st list in last week of JAN 2013 or 1st/2nd week of FEB  but last date of displaying 1st list list+waiting list is 15 Feb .

2  Till last year schools had option to deviate from Common Admission Calendar but as mentioned in point no 3... All the schools have to give forms from 1Jan-15 Jan 2013... As last year many established and sought after schools gave forms only for few days .

3 Please see point no 8 - As we all know schools have to give 25 % quota to EWS . As per notification  dated 28.02.2012 entry level seats (Nursery, KG, 1st) cannot be less than highest number of seats in previous 3 years in entry level classes  . Normally to reduce EWS seats...many schools used to decrease the number of seats at entry level and (Read Nursery /KG) then used to fill the seats in senior classes  but now they cannot do it ..as DOE has asked for the stats from all the schools few months ago. So THIS YEAR THIS MANIPULATION BY REDUCTION OF ENTRY LEVEL SEATS (TOTAL SEATS-GEN+EWS) CANNOT BE DONE BY SCHOOLS (ON PAPER AT LEAST)

REST THESE GUIDELINES ARE IN FAVOUR OF SCHOOLS :(

Pls advice on the best schools in Dwarka. I stay in Janak Puri but have plan to shift to Dwarka in the coming months. For people staying in Janakpuri, do we get any preference in the admission in dwarka?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rahul,

Indraprastha Intl, Basava Intl, Vis Sec-10, St Thomas etc are few schools. Please try in these schools & tranport are easily available till janakpuri

Thanks Pooja.

Also, pls tell me what is the average intial charges in these schools at the time of admission?

Some best schools in Dwarka

Basava International, BGS International, DPS, SVIS sec 18, VIS sec 10, Bal Bharti, Mt.Carmel

Good schools in Dwarka

St.Thomas, Indraprastha, Dwarka International, RD Rajpal, NK Bagrodia, Modern Convent, ITL, DAV, Bal Bhavan, St.Gregorios, Nirmal Bhartia, St.Mary's, Sachdeva, Queen's Valley, Adarsh world, GD Goenka

Many upcoming schools Modern International, Indian Heights, Paramount, Sam, Maxfort, JM International, ( MBS and OPG not recognised), New Era

Average MRV, Pragati Public, Shiksha Bharti

See the excel sheet most of the schools cater the needs of whole west Delhi by giving 10 or 5 points lesser for outer areas.

Can I get a list of all the documents & other things required ALL IN ONE PLACE. Like photo, parents photo, family photo, parents certificates if required & why, parents income proofs if required & why, & also other documents so that we can make our bag ready to run here & there without being disappointed on reaching a certain school. I want to ALSO KNOW the rarest documents which a school might ask.

Also can I use someone else to fill the form on my behalf if I dont have time.

Can I use AND should I use any agent to fill forms ? Are there any agents ?

Whats the waiting time in line at a particular well established school.

Can I download the form from DOE website & simply submit it in all schools one by one or do I need to pay them 500 or 1000 Rupees or 100-200 rupees etc etc to each & every school for prospectus. ? If purchasing prospectus is optional, then DO THESE SCHOOLS give preference to those who purchased those optional prospectus. (Of Course  I know they cant do this legally but do they do it in hiddeen manner) ?

I would be happy if you answer all these questions thru a new blog & forward it to all the parents.

Thanks & Regards
