20 points - has the second largest chunk of points after the distance category which has 70 points.

Nursery admissions have started in the Capital but parents are confused about several aspects of the process.
The upper age criteria mentioned by some schools has left many parents baffled. They are also confused about sibling points in the twin children category.
"Schools like DPS and Mothers International have mentioned that points are only to be given to the siblings of twins. They are misinterpreting the department of education (DoE) guidelines, it has clearly mentioned that twins are to be treated as siblings," said a parent seeking admission for twins.
On the DPS school website, it is mentioned that in case of twins, if one of them is already studying in the school, he/she will be considered under sibling category. In case of a draw of lots, both the twins will be put in a single 'chit' for consideration. Either both will be selected together or both will not be selected.
In case only one seat is left for selection, one of the twins will be selected and another will be waitlisted at No.1.
Earlier this month, the DoE had mentioned that parents of twins will get sibling points ~ 20 each ~ and they will be considered under ‘sibling’ category. "Yes, twins will be considered under sibling category as it will be convenient and comfortable to parents in terms of transportation and timings," said a DoE official.
Some parents said schools are asking for documents which are not listed in the DoE guidelines, "Tagore International has not listed electricity or telephone bill in list of documents acceptable as address proof. Also they have mentioned that parents should be staying at the address for at least one year. I have no clue that schools can set such conditions," said a parent from south Delhi.
According to some parents, schools like Tagore International and DPS have set upper age limit criterion in their admission requirement list. "The minimum age is three years and above but some schools have also mentioned the maximum age limit which is not more than four years. My ward's age is more than the maximum age mentioned here. Now the schools are not accepting my application on this basis," said Prakalpa Kushwaha, a parent.
However, DPS Mathura Road, after getting lots of complaints from parents, has removed the upper age cutoff limit. "The form on school website would be replaced soon for the age eligibility. The old form will be replaced soon but the online form has started accepting children having age above 4 year also," said a nursery admissionnursery.com website.
Parents also complained about the online registration in various major schools in the city. "I am unable to find the online registration form for Air Force Bal Bharti," said one parent.

Parents had a long struggle to make their voice heard long back. But should appreciate the efforts of Mr.Vohra who highlighted the urgent demand of parents like our parent Mr.Ashish Kumar to be heard in short span.
This way twins shall be able to get through almost all the schools they fill the forms in....this is not fair for the other kids. It should be if one of the twins is selected, then the second will be automatically admitted. Sibling points of 20 to both is not justified....
What is fair and not fair is a debatable thing.
Twins even though would get selected in most schools, but will go to only one school which would leave 2 seats vacants in all the schools and those seats would be filled by other kids.
Also if you think like this then why even have the sibling category points at all ? Whats the harm if my one child goes to School 1 and other goes to School 2. All the parents who already have 1 kid studying in a particular school would also get benefit for second child, even this is wrong then.
Moreover , in a city like Delhi, why have 5% seats reserved each for Staff or girl child, I think even that is wrong then.
yes...its surely debatable.....you can go on and on with the points like staff reservation or girl child....!! My point is that the first time twin applicants getting sibling points is not justified. I have also mentioned that there should be guaranteed admission for the second twin if one is admitted. This will anyways double the chances of the twins getting admissions. So, the question of 1 child going to one school and the other to a different school does not arise. Same goes for siblings also as its tough for the parents to manage.
Few schools have kept an upper limit for the age, and have given a span of dates (Born between 1st April, 2010 and 31st March, 2011) for eligibility which is not as per the DOE guidelines . For example Tagore International School, East of Kailash, Birla Vidya Niketan, Father Agnel School etc. Please see if this can addressed otherwise we will not be able to apply in many such sought after schools. Thanks.
Please see below my mail exchange with Mother's international school on treating Twins under siblings category:
First of all a Big Thanks to Mr. Sumit Vohra for bringing this to the notice of everyone !
Second, DoE should issue a notice to the schools or take out a circular in this regard so that all schools follow the same criteria.
Third, When GOD sent the twins together in this world and when they are inseparable since their birth, we humans should not even "think" to separate them !
I failed to understand why not govt issue master guideline to address all issue which are part of FAQ. Or FAQ are made to pave a path for corruption.
No school is going to give you points till DOE/LG issues an order forcing the schools to give 20 points to TWINS even if no elder brother/sister is studying in school.
Still Tagore International, EOK and Frank Anthony School, Lajpat are insisting on age less than 4 years for admission.
